Hindsight being 20/20, wish UK would have taken Thomas Bryant instead of Skal.

First off, I believe Skal is going to get better as the season goes on. Don't think he becomes Anthony Davis or Nerlens Noel. But he will be a solid contributor.

But Thomas Bryant is a player I wanted, and who I believed wanted to come to Kentucky.

I've watched him play a few times this season. He is many things Skal is not. Strong, aggressive, intense.

He suffers greatly from playing in Crean's offense. And the Indiana guards are unbelievably selfish ball hogs. Noticed several times during their game against Notre Dame yesterday, the IU guards not passing it inside to Bryant even when he established a deep post position.

He would have been a great compliment to Marcus Lee inside.

I watched him yesterday against ND and he is pretty much what we are missing.

Him choosing to play for The Clapster is all I need to know...regardless of who everyone thinks is better.

Caleb Swanigan had 25 points and 11 rebounds yesterday and Purdue still lost. LOL His fifth double-double.
As long as we are talking about water under the bridge I'd say Swanigan would already be talked about as the #1 pick if he were playing here and we'd probably be undefeated.

Skai is ours. Cal recruited him and he chose to play here. He is a part of the family so it is wasted energy to wish otherwise. I think he will get it before long. He needs better technique and a more aggressive mentality. All of those are fixable.

What makes the op so sure that Bryant would have even came to UK? Believe it or not, and regardless of how good Cal is on the recruiting trail, each and every top player isn't lining up to play for UK. Don't get me wrong, UK is great and has many, many advantages that players love, but it also has disadvantages that players don't like very much.

Op has one thing right, though, hindsight is 20/20, and it's a waste of time. Bottom line is, Skal is our guy, he chose to be Wildcat when he had plenty of influences forcing him to go elsewhere. Wishing another player was here instead of him is not only unfair and disrespectful to him, but it's also low class as a fan, imo.

Bullseye. Forget Bryant, Caleb Swanigan is the big I really wish we'd landed. I've watched Purdue a few times and that kid was impressive as hell each time. Swanigan is the real deal.
