Highlights of every Leary pass/run verses Clemson 2022

Without looking it up... Seems like their O was better last year. Seems like the reason he is transferring is because they regressed from what they expected... kinda like what we did with Levis this year.

An improved OL and better wr will get him looking better... and Coen calling plays.

They had a freshman QB who's top notch. As to who's better, I have no idea, glad to have him here with Coen.

Sign me up, baby. Tough second half but still battled. They handed the ball off TWELVE times for 42 yards in 60 minutes. Just cut a baby’s arm, let it bleed and put him in the ocean why don’t ya. Can’t pin it all on DL.

The guy was 5-1 and ranked in top 15 before injury, coming off his amazing 2021 season. They had the NC State Rivals guy on the radio yesterday and he said the reason his stats weren't as great through 6 games as 2021 was due to players around him not making the plays they did in 2021.
Not saying he's not good, but that video certainly wasn't.

That first drive vs Clemson reminded me of us with Scang...

Get in the redzone, and kill yourself with a stupid WR toss thing.

That's the biggest difference between Coen and everybody else. The dude runs plays that get you in the endzone. Scang, Eddie Gran, whoever NC St OC is... would do some really stupid stuff.

Some real accurate balls being thrown from Leary. He looks like a lil magician out there. Amazing feet in the pocket, much better than Levis.

That's not impressive.
Hmmm.

I was as impressed with his third throw of the game as I was with any.

He threw it OOB when under pressure without getting hit.

His first half interception hit his receiver in the hands, but deflected for the pick.

He did not put his team in bad spots, and had several explosive plays 25+ yards down the field.

Against zone defense, he lofted 20-30 yard passes over the heads of the nearest defenders, placing the ball where only his receiver could catch it. He does not have the arm strength to throw it through a wall, and doesn’t need it: in the SEC, try to throw the ball through through a defender, and a freak like Jordan Wright will catch it one-handed.

Team a heady, mobile, accurate QB like that with a Top 15 defense, and things could get very interesting.

Watching 2021 game vs Clemson. He's good, but l don't think he's Levis. Don't think he completed any passes over 18-20 yds. Just not what I'd heard with all the hype about him being the best on the portal
It's just one game and against Clemson so we'll see...Looking forward to seeing what the coaches let Sheron and Wade do in the bowl game.

His seventh pass with 2:40 to go in the first, he threw for 30 yards (in air) for a 34 yards gain.

But that’s the 2022 Clemson game at Clemson, that I posted.

I definitely agree he is not Levis!!!

Far less power, far more touch and field presence.

Go watch 2021 Clemson game. Worth watching.

He’s more fundamentally sound than Levis but doesn’t have his physical gifts. He has better touch, more accurate and knows when to throw it away. But he’s not gonna zing the ball 70 yards like Levis or truck a defender trying to tackle him.

I thought he threw some ill advised passes into coverage. Some were completed, some weren't and a few intercepted. I liked his accuracy, only saw a few errant passes. The touch was nice. He's a gunslinger though. Like that if he can clean up the throwing into coverage thing. (Learn from his mistakes) I wouldn't say he's better than Levis, or worse. He's got a different skill set. Appeared to make quick decisions, something I criticized Levis for failing at times. Not always the right decision, but quick. I can live with that.
