Agreed. There is really no such thing. Higgins might not be able to cost us against a 16 seed caliber team but any legit team he can.

Remember the 2005 NCAA game vs EKU. We were a 2-seed, they were a 15. (We have some info on the Higgins Missed Calls Thread.) It went down to the wire . . . to me, the only way to Higgins-proof a UK game is for him not to officiate one.

I have to agree. He is literally the only official I give a second thought to- all officials make bad calls, just the nature of the beast. He has provided enough evidence that he overtly and blatantly attempts to change the game against UK with his officiating. He is a sorry excuse for a person.

I think you need a team built more like 2012. Guards that defensively can allow the penetration (instead of fouling) to funnel to a frontcourt that consists of elite rim protectors. Takes the refs whistle out of it a bit.

I agree that is the defense strategy Cal likes. To employ it effectively next year, UK most likely needs Bamba to sign.
