Haven't checked in with you all since last January's bowl game of Iowa/Kentucky. Hawkeye fan in Iowa City here.

Remember my evaluation of Iowa's offense before that bowl game? Well, as you probably can assume, we currently have an offense that may be even worse in 2022. We scored more points Saturday with safeties than we did TDs or FGs. How we still managed to win 7-3 is beyond me. You have no idea how ugly it was to watch that game in Kinnick Stadium Saturday.

Anyways, wishing HUGE success to the Wildcats this season.

MOST of you proved to be such fabulous and kind fans in my interactions with you early in the year!

That may be a record! a winning margin of two safeties. Never heard of it before.

Welcome back rucker. My recollection is that most of the Iowa fans were cool posting here back in December. With the exception of the dip weed sitting in the can yelling “&:);?! Kentucky “ at the Citrus bowl on the club level. We were afraid to knock some sense into him as we had no idea what he had on or in his hands.

I realize how bad it was, I was watching the Iowa game quite a bit on Saturday. Been a long time since I've seen a offense that bad. You guys are going to have to make some wholesale changes to fix that offense.
Eliot Uzelac was responsible at the time?

So here's one for ya:

In 1980 I was in Kinnick to see Iowa lose to Arizona 5-3.

In 2004 I was in State College,PA to see Iowa beat Penn State 6-4.

In 2022 now in Kinnick to see Iowa beat SDSU 7-3 via two safeties.
I hope you like defense battles. Your an offense killer!

Welcome Back! I had been meaning to head over to your board but kept putting it off.

I guess you're aware that Duece Hogan appears to be our QB2 this season, with a respectable shot at being "the man" next year and beyond (assuming we don't hit the transfer portal for another QB lol)

I think yall are gonna need more than one score against those rival Cyclones this Saturday. Best of luck to the Hawkeyes in the Cyhawk game.

I listened to that game. Didn't think anybody would ever score.
I was at the game. Turrible. Turrible.
Pouring down rain the whole game the best I remember.
That game had everything. Blocked punts. Fumbles. Interceptions.
Everything but points that is. No points and nobody cared.

Mississippi State lost to Auburn 15 years or so ago by a score of 3-2. Don't think it has happened since in major college football.

But I watched a lot of the Iowa game, was surreal how bad the two offenses were.

Wasn’t that Sylvester Croom coaching MSU then? He would be happy with a 0-0 tie. Defense was usually physical and pretty good.

Oh yeah, we are aware of Duece. Hell, he probably should be Iowa's QB this season.

Iowa fans rival S. Miss fans as the best fans I've met at games. Had a great time meeting everyone at the bowl game.

I really hope for your sake they allow alcohol at Kinnick! I don't see how things can stay status quo with the staff if the offense continues to be this anemic. I tried to watch some of your game Saturday, but I had to change the channel.

Welcome back Rucker

Had Mumme not been hired, what's the chance Couch would have stayed another year after the way he was used by Curry?

As you likely know-- there's a MUCH bigger issue at play than just the lousy offense.

It's the fact the O-Coordinator is the son of the Head Coach and the HC has dug in his heels on it and not budging. Constant defender. No win scenario.

Brian Ferentz is the biggest whipping boy in the state of Iowa right now-- and deservedly so.
