UGA fan here, and absolutely not. Bear wasn’t much of a loss but Jalen Carter was a massive loss.

Not being argumentative, just digging up a little debate we had right after Bear transferred. On a UGA thread on this board, Grumpy was adamant your D this year would be as good as or better as last years and your Dline would be as good or better.
I said I highly doubted that after losing Carter and to a lesser extent, Bear as perhaps the next 1st round talent. I agreed Williams is likely that type NFL talent but didn't see it with any of the others. And it was rose colored glasses to think the D would be as good or better
