Define walking distance. Winchells on Southland drive is solid. If you take the bus from downtown there’s a ton of options.
last time I went to a game we ate at Kenny Rodgers Roasters
Where’d you end up? Sorry if I came across as a prick earlier. In my past career in hotels I got asked the ‘walking distance’ question a lot. For some people walking from the stadium to downtown was nothing, for others telling them a place across the street would make them angry because it was ‘too far’
I couldn’t find it ended up at a someplace called KSBar. Odd group in there.
Saturday morning at 8:30 we were eating bcisuits with sausage gravy, fried potatoes with onions, scrambled eggs, fried pork chops and sliced tomatoes.
biscuits and gravy are so hit or miss for me. They are either incredibly delicious or inedible. There is never an in between.
I don't think I've ever had inedible biscuits and gravy. What a sad thing that must be. I hope I never have that.
Have to say we did last year at a restaurant in Missouri. About a table spoon of gravey for a biscuit. Southern Style Grands(no subistuite) and sausage gravy.
A table spoon?! The sacrelige. The absolute blasphemy. I'm sorry you had to endure that. And canned biscuits on top of that. Missouri is officially on The List™.
I think part of this is my year working at a Hampton Inn. The sausage we used for breakfast was TERRIBLE and they’d cut it up and put it in the gravy. This sausage was so bad most dog food companies would have laughed at it.
Within "Walking Distance" you have KSBar & Grille, Dairy Queen, Wendy's, Sonic, First Watch, Buffalo Wild Wings, Jets Pizza, Papi's Mexican, Sir Pizza, Zaxby's, Jersey Mikes, Waffle House, Cook-Out. These are all the South Broadway & Virginia Avenue area.
Sure, a little further away but delicious none the less. Walkable in about 30 minutes according to google maps 1.6 miles away from the stadium. In that area also is Chipotle, Raising Canes, Local Taco, Cinco De Mayo, McDonalds and La Chula.

McDonald's 🤮🤮🤮🤮. Nothing beats mommas homemade (RIP) and the wife can do about a 8/10 but most restaurants are atleast edible (DQ, Hardee's, Cracker barrel , etc ) but not McDonald's I wouldn't feed that to my dog.
Yeah well if you get any breakfast there besides a sausage egg and cheese mcgriddle, that's your own fault
The Steak, Egg & Cheese Bagel and Bacon, Egg & Cheese Bagel(s) are pretty tasty.
(Substitute the round egg instead of the folded egg for any breakfast sandwich, they're fresh eggs) - No upcharge. Cannot be done on the McDonalds App!
Try to stay away from MCD period. The offspring think there's nothing better than a mcnugget happy meal however.
The mcgriddle, fries, and nuggets cannot be beat. Rest of the menu is what it is, but those three are top tier
