The announcers are going to be in an ESPN studio instead of courtside to save dough.
Any chance Kaylee Hartung does interviews in a Teddy from her bedroom?

I think its pretty pathetic they cannot send these people to Lexington from Charlotte, NC....but it sounds fine.

ESPN is doing this with every Conference. If the announcers are good and do their homework, you can't tell. It has already been done for years with soccer and the Olympics.

ESPN is feeling some of the "cord-cutting" has has to find ways to save money. On these games they save a lot of crew (producer, director, talent, graphics, sound, etc. a few others) and don't have to pay flights/mileage, hotel, food, etc. It seems like just a little but if they did that for 2 total broadcasts a week, it would save a lot of coin at the end of the year.

Kind of like when Ronald Reagan as a young radio announcer on WHO radio in Des Moines did Chicago Cubs games in the studio in Des Moines reading the ticker tape of the game.

The announcers can't get a real feel for the game from the studio . Maybe their cost cutting is why I'm not getting a picture .

I would smash my big toe with a hammer to see that!
