Hawkins....

Calipari noticed it was a crazy environment and he didn't want to take a chance.

He wanted the players he trusted out there. You never want to get down on the road, no matter how early it is.

So Cal scrapped the platoons totally today? I missed the start of the game and do not see that Hawkins played any looking at the box score. I don't care either way, but was just curious.

This game showed that the platoon WERE not and won't be the reason we blow someone out or have a close game. UK has won by 15 over SC, 14 over UNC, 39 over UCLA, etc, playing 9.

Didn't UK have some foul trouble? That's going to negate any planned substitutions.
None had more than 3 at the end of the game, so I wouldn't consider that foul trouble.

I think what Bamaguy is referring to is WSC picking two quick first half fouls. If you didn't notice, he sat for the last 13+ minutes of the first half.

WCS sidelined with two quick fouls can definitely be considered foul trouble, and it definitely negated some planned substitutions.

I could be wrong, but I thought I saw WCS in the game late in the first half? Am I mistaken?

No, you're not wrong. He came back into the game with two fouls, but he also sat for a bit. I could be wrong on the amount of time he sat. I'm just going off Vitale said. I remember hearing him say that WCS only played 6-7 mins in the first half, but he could've been mistaken.

Whats the deal??? Have I missed something??
Think either he is still recovering a little or Cal didn't like a matchup for him.

will you all shut up about Hawkins and Willis

they are good players, and they would play if we didn't have 9 draft picks. But we do.

their time will come
