Not trying to bash, but was just wondering? Also, what do you think of coach Stoops so far? I have always thought of him as a good fundamentals type coach. Looks like he is starting to build a team you can be proud of. Thoughts?

Yes. At least twice that I can think of but probably more than that. Mumme won in '99 and I believe Curry won twice.

Yes, UK won there in 93 and 95, the game in 95 is when Moe Williams went for 299 yds rushing. Also beat Lou Holtz 1st USC team there in 99.

One of the best single game performances in UK history was in 1995 in Columbia when Moe Williams ran for 299 yards and had a total of 429 all purpose yards and UK won 35-30.

I was 15 then and watched that game and was amazed at Moe Williams and what he'd done. He is obviously one of the best running backs we've ever had.

Probably the best ever. That would be a game replay to post if anyone has it. I'd love to see it again.

I'd also love to see a highlight video of all of his runs against USC.

UK had terrible luck against TOBC for several years under Brooks, lost several close games they coulda/shoulda won. In fact if Brooks had won a couple of those he would have had a better record than Spurrier before he got his recruiting rolling which wasn't too long ago.

The game that stood out to me was 06 I believe, playing on the road, and we were winning but in the crucial second half we had three fumbles by Little, and all three were lost, and all three were on first down in the first series of the possession, one play and out three times in a row.

Other than that Little had a very good game though, and rebounded very well.

I was at the Moe Williams game in 95 and I don't believe it was televised so there may not be footage of it. but yes he was awesome, and lord did it rain that day...biblical rain.

Most maddening game was in 2009? when Randall Cobb was just shredding the Gamecock defense on what would've been the game winning drive and as we got to goalline, Joker in his infinite wisdom chose to take Randall out of the game and put in Will Fidler, to in his mind score the winning touchdown.

Didn't quite play out that way, as our best player wasn't on the field for the defining play of the game.

Spurrier got quite a chuckle and more than few barbs at our expense in the postgame media room that afternoon I can tell you.

I've been to Columbia four times to watch Kentucky/South Carolina. I went in 1978, when USC had George Rogers and we tied. I went in 1993 on the Thursday night and also in 1995 and 1999. So, has fate would have it, I am 3-0-1 on my visits to South Carolina. It just so happens that I will be coming home from the beach on Saturday and plan to stop in Columbia to catch the Cats and try to keep that mojo going.

According to Winsipedia...Since the series began in 92 the Cats have won 7 times. 3 times under Curry (twice in Columbia) when Sparky Woods and Brad Scott was the coach; 2 times under Mumme (once in Columbia) wnen Brad Scott and Lou Holtz was the coach; 1 time under Joker and 1 time under Stoops when Spurrier was the coach. They played twice before that in 37 and 81 with UK winning the first and USC wining the second.

Don McAllister was 0-1
Jim Carlen was 1-0
Sparky Woods was 0-2
Brad Scott was 3-2
Lou Hotlz was 5-1
Steve Spurrier is 8-2

It was on TV I watched it.

I think the multiple fumble game was in 2005. I was listening to it while driving to Myrtle Beach. Finally had to stop and take down my flags it was so bad!

Yah, the one that sticks out to me is the Moe Williams game. I know he ran for almost 300 yards but it felt like he gained around 1200 yards in that game. Probably the best I've ever seen a UK back look in my football lifetime. It was kinda like Kemp last year running the wildcat. Everyone knew Moe was getting it but they just couldn't stop him.

Most of us love Stoops. Of course when we lose or dont blow Sun Belt teams out, you'll get the "it's never gonna change." "Stoops is a joke" crowd. But most of those are just basketball fans.

The majority here understand that it takes awhile to build a football team, especially considering how low this program was when Stoops got here.

Right now, we are buying into because of the recruiting this staff has done. It's never been done here before and we're just happy that we are being put into a place to compete with most of the SEC.

I think this year should see a bowl game. Next year should see one of the better UK teams ever fielded in the modern era and we are excited about that.

We had them dead to rights in Columbia a few years ago and they threw a jump ball in triple coverage to Alshon Jeffrey in the back of the endzone and beat us. We've had a lot of chances to beat them in recent years and let it slip away. We've been much more competitive than our record against them would indicate

Us winning down there in 1993 on a Thursday night with Antonio O'Ferral maybe the high water mark of the Curry era.

High bar, I know.
Believe that was the Steve Tanneyhill game. Never forget the Mullet!

I remember right before they lost they played a pre-recorded interview during the game and he said "Theres a fine line between confidence and Cockiness and I'm Cockie!"

but mostly just remember the Mullet for its glory.

This series was so agonizing in the 2000's. We lost 10 in a row from 2000 to 2009. Seven were decided by a touchdown or less. So, 0-7 in close games. What kind of BS bad luck is that? So glad it's evened out some lately. We need to keep winning 1 of every 2 to 3 in this series.

Seems to me we tied SC once when George Rogers was there,
