Lane has a offer sheet of a 6.0 4 star but ranked as a 5.7 3 star.
One site says he's 5'7" another says he's a little taller. Weight from 200-224 lbs. Wonder how explosive he is after gaining that much weight?

Sounds like they are using the family excuse to just cut him loose. Could be a cancer in the locker room. Seems way to late to cut a veteran RB in your program that provides good depth to open a spot up.

Not absolutely the scoop. The NCAA does allow some 6th year medical redshirts and this happening before the season even started would seem to make this kid a prime candidate for a medical redshirt.

Because he "wanted to be closer to family"... He's from outside Orlando... Not sure how to read that, if he left because he didn't like the depth chart and UF is covering for him or if he was kicked out to free up room and UF is covering for themselves.

Our mods are saying he most likely won't be able to get a 6th year because his redshirt year wasn't because of an injury. So you almost gotta miss 2 years from an injury to get one back.

That was Wesley Green from Lithonia just outside of Atlanta. He barely got in school last year, right at the beginning of fall practice or maybe a week late, was way behind and took a redshirt. Then during the off season got popped for weed. Cock fans said he just wasn't putting in the necessary work to move up the depth chart. If he still wants to play will likely end up at one of the small schools in Georgia, already redshirting wouldn't make much sense for him to sit another year. Would mean 2 years without playing a game.
