Opened the door for BBN to watch the "Other Game"? I admit to watching highlights of our pro players until the last NBA season. With a Wildcat on about every team, this has changed my perception of NBA basketball.

I've always enjoyed the NBA. I'm not sure how any UK basketball fan could not enjoy watching it. The playoffs are great. The regular season is something I watch when I can. I enjoy TNTs coverage. I may have a "game on" while I do work at the house, but I'm not watching religiously.

I do keep up with our players by checking box scores some nights on ESPN, and I am a Lakers' fan so I keep up with the NBA standings pretty consistently throughout the season. I am a big sports' nut though, college hoops, NBA, NFL, college football, MLB, will watch some Nashville Preds hockey (more of a playoff hockey watcher though), some US men's/women's soccer, the big golf tournaments, etc.

NBA is my favorite league. I've done league pass the past couple years, keep up with it year round. I've soured on the NFL lately and MLB as well, still follow both casually. So it's mostly just NBA/CFB/CBB for me. The infusion of UK players into the league has made it even more enjoyable for me though, and I'm glad more UK fans follow NBA casually because of our guys.

The NBA is like a foreign language to me. I want to learn it but I get bored with it before I appreciate it. Don't get me wrong, I love watching the playoffs, but the regular season has no merit compared to college game. If you lose a game in the NBA there is a ton of time to make it up. In college however you may drop out of the top 25 and never make it back. There is true anxiety and drama involved and it keeps me hooked. Add to the fact that many pro teams tank to get the best draft pick make me nauseated. I mean, why even care when their own franchised don't?

With that said, I do love the fact that many UK players are not only in the NBA but are on the same teams. I have been noticing that I tend to pay more and more attention lately to the NBA, so maybe in the near future I'll stick with it.

It helps, but what's really helped is the rule changes to facilitate scoring. The GSW winning the title could not have happened 10 years ago, because they'd be mugged to death. College take note, this is basketball, not a rock fight.

If you love basketball, I'm not sure why you wouldn't be into the NBA. And for the people who say regular season doesn't matter, have you watched a road game in college lately? Pretty much has zero bearing on how good a team is. The best basketball in the world is played in the NBA.

I watch the NBA to pass the time until football starts (as does 99% of America)..the playoffs are interesting

I've always said if we all cared about an NBA team with the same inherent pride and love we have for Kentucky, this place would have such a gigantic appreciation for how great the NBA is.

Only bad thing is we don't see many of our guys in the playoffs because they were drafted so high by horrible teams. Glad to see Wall and Davis changing that and look forward to Cousins and WCS adding to the mix soon.

I guess I'm the odd man out, watch it only during the playoffs. I like all of college basketball, nothing about the NBA gets me excited. Walk at will, super stars get the calls and referees older than dirt and dumber than the college refs. I want our UK guys to do good in the league, but they will have to do it without my support.....it is what it is

Until Coach Cal came I did not keep up with it as much as I do now. But with so many former UK players becoming stars, even superstars I enjoy watching it. One year soon we will see an NBA All Star game with four or five former UK players in it.

I can get into the NBA when my team is good, which isn't often (Sixers). Otherwise, I only take a peek during the playoffs, if that.

To me it is a completely different game. I don't get the excitement of it that others feel. I'm glad you do though.

I've subscribed to the NBA League Pass for the past two years and it's been well worth the money IMO. Virtually every night you are able to watch a handful of UK players.

Since the rotations in the NBA during the regular season are so regular, one can pretty much know when a particular player will be in the game depending on when the game starts and whether the player in question is a starter or backup. So usually I just end up switching from one game to another and back.
