Hard fought game

We have work to do and got to shoot the ball better but we will be fine. Maybe not the number 4 team in the country. Amari Williams was good down the stretch I just wish he was play with that kind of aggression and assertiveness from the tip instead of the last 8 min of a close game. I think he knows ky basketball is a little different now after that court storming

No gripes from me.. First true road game and it showed.. Gonna be a lot of teams losing on the road this year.. On to Gonzaga..

Well we won't see that kind of "grit" from Gonzaga. Sure, they'll be good, but if we go in there and handle our business, tonight will be just a blip come SEC time. And, it will sure make us tougher. Three straight crazy-physical games will go a long way for learning.

Gonzaga probably didn't want us to lose - I hope we come in fired up.

My only gripe is, on the road you have to come out and make a statement. Instead, Clemson's Schiefflen made the statement by outhustling the starting 5 all by himself.

Not discouraged. First game with first half foul issues. Butler needs to be on the floor as much as possible going forward. Makes next game more important. Go Cats!

Lot of ways to spin this one.

1) we took it to the wire on a team that’ll probably be between like a 7-10 seed at their place with their crowd as jacked as they will be all year outside of maybe UNC/Duke. We played pretty poorly and it was objectively a pretty awfully officiated game.

2) if their big white dude could throw it in ocean we would’ve probably gotten ran off the floor tonight

Here’s my major gripe. Kerr got way too many minutes and the offense was horrible with him out there, and even after butler rolled his ankle he seemed fine, but the last 10 minutes of the game Kerr continued to keep getting minutes. Like come on pope, u have to know Kerr was doing absolutely nothing, u can’t tell me a 22 year old in butler can’t finish the last 8 min of a game without a break. Frustrating. I kept thinking it was bc of butlers ankle but obviously he was fine

Clemsons whole brand is to play rugby on the basketball court. Hence the “Grit after dark” shirts. And the officials called a game that was very “Grit” friendly and let them turn it into a wrestling match minus some touch calls that put our straw that stirs the drink (who is known to play tough D without fouling) in foul trouble

There was times in the season where I thought Kerr was good and deserved the minutes he was getting and maybe even more, but butler has gotten so much better even in the 8 games this season so far he needs to be playing 28-30 min a game

Shot the ball terribly and still lost a close game in a tough environment. 2 of the missed 3s go in we win. It’s that simply. Not happy they didn’t win but it was a bad loss. Glad we have a team that can compete even on an off night.
