Great Q&A with Ronnie Brewer on Malik Monk's decision

Makes it more incredible the power of Cal. Everything was against UK the school signing Monk. This was much more about Cal and the recruits he brought in than it was UK and I'm fine with that. Just sad to see people care more about themselves and their program than what a kid thinks is best for him. I hope UK fans of any sport never do that.

To summarize, Brewer thinks:

1. It was Monk's decision. Fans have no right to dictate where a kid goes.
2. Can't blame a kid for wanting to win in college and play with other elites. He cited Giles-Tatum as an example.
3. Basically said the report about Marcus steering Malik elsewhere is BS, but that Marcus doesn't mind it because it takes the heat off Malik.
4. Cal's system works, and Malik understands that it works.
5. If the community shuns Marcus or Malik, shame on them. Fans should not take it personally. Also said he hopes Marcus is still able to run his AAU tourneys.
6. People from Malik's community will support Malik, whether he was UK-bound or Arky-bound. The rest of the state doesn't really matter in terms o perspective.

No offense OP but why do people just post a Link in a thread with no context or explanation of it whatsoever? I'm sure it is a great article and well written but I refuse to click on a link with no explanation other than a title to the thread.

The title is exactly what the article is and that is a Q&A with Ronnie Brewer about the Monks. There is literally nothing to explain

While that may be the case I think SoS did a fine job here.

My issue isn't exactly with the OP, I have brought this up before in other posts. If you are going to post a link provide some info on the link. But to each his own I guess.

If you can't put 2 and 2 together, that's on you.
