They asked who needed a statement win this wkend & of course he said us then went on about no real good wins etc. I know we don't truly care about those idiots but it's amazing where some of these turds have gotten career wise.

Well if we're calling people out I can think of a few posters here. The "how is UK a one-point favorite" thread certainly comes to mind.
I actually looked for that thread after the game. Seems to have disappeared. Do you remember who started it?
But how many of us are on tv spitting out crap that truly no one believes? Or the platform these bums do without a decent word to say about us? That's why I'm amazed where these guys have gotten career wise.
As I have said many times Gottlieb has to be close to someone highly placed to have gotten all the primetime, all the other announcers act like they can barely stand to be on the air with him. I suppose he will have that trademark frown on when he thinks about UK winning and him missing his pick.
You know, I just get a feeling sometimes that I should avoid certain threads and every-time I do I somehow find out later that I was right in dodging it in the first place. Not sure if it's gas or hemorrhoids but something just tells me to stay away, far away from them and life will be just so much better.

Didn't have anything to do with doubting us...teams ranked 22 on the road against 26 or 27 are never favored...not a big conspiracy or anything...that just very rarely happens...if you guys would research stuff instead of just attacking a post cuz it is mine you might learn something
This crap about "good wins" is a joke this year. No contender has less than 4 losses. Almost everybody has a bad loss or two. What qualifies as a "good win" this year?

There is a big difference between message board posters and "experts" who get paid to know college basketball. I'm assuming you predicted a 25+ point victory yesterday?
There also a big difference in predicting that USCjr would beat us and calling it a "lock" especially after the way we've been playing recently. It's kind of like Jay Williams talking about how TAMU is "far and away" the best team in the SEC.... Nope. Some of these guys just like to poke the bear, but come on, that's just ridiculous.
I don't think there's a big difference at all. Both are seeking attention with their "bold" statements, and it was hardly the first time for either one. And Gottleib isn't paid for his knowledge. He's paid because people will watch him whether they think he's a genius or whether they think he's a dunce. Like many of his cohorts he hits on the hot topics. He's a shock jock of television
And no I didn't expect that big of a win but I did expect a win. Doesn't take a college basketball expert to realize that we were/are playing much better ball than USC lately.
We were favored because we blasted UF and UGA coming in and we are having a good season.

Good point Silents... with all the losses that the major contenders have, how easy would it be to tear apart their resumes? It would be simple.
Truth is, the road hasn't been kind to anyone in the top 25 this season.
Gottlieb also said KU would crush us and that we better win at Arkansas because we couldn't win anywhere else on the road. If Gottlieb gambles, his bookie is a rich man.
