Some really interesting points in this video. Self putting Dickinson on Theiro and having Adams guard Mitchell was a really key decision. Clearly they scouted that our best PnR offense came from Mitchell ball screens so they put a far superior defender on him and "hid" Dickinson by putting him on a non shooter, allowing him to play free safety in the paint and clog the lane.

Good breakdown. KU wanted to make Thiero have to shoot 3s playing the 4. I look forward to later in the season when we can have Z and Mitchell playing the 5 and 4 with both as big three point threats.

Pretty solid coaching, what did UK do to counter that move by Kansas?
We still put Mitchell in pick and roll, which led to them switching a smaller defender on him.

Then we tried to post Mitchell some, but not as much as we should have. Cal said at some point he was wanting the ball to go inside more.

The video notes that we scored multiple 3's after we posted Mitchell and they brought defensive help.

The only time we really saw Mitchell actively trying to post was when he decided to try to back down Dickinson.
