Good noon game: undefeated Xavier at Villanova

Even though Wright is overrated, I hope Villanova wins. I've hated Xavier ever since that big fight with Cincinnati.

Not much of a good game looking at it on ESPN.com.

I think I'll stick to the football game.

16 Villanova 48, No. 6 Xavier 30 Half. Arch 5 of 8 3s & 17 points. Nova 16 of 25 from the floor.

Not watching this, but just checked the box. As I type this, Villanova is averaging 1.878 points per FG attempt. In other words, if every Villanova shot so far had been an unguarded layup, they'd only have 5 more points than what they have right now (assuming no one chokes and misses one).

Never have been and never will be sold on Villanova, but when a team that plays like that is hitting shots, all you can do is sit back and say "daaaaamn".

That has got to be near a record.

I guess that Xavier 12-point win over Northern Ky wasn't as good as it looked.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Hard to judge when the other team loses a player to that kind of injury. Xavier gets Nova at their house later in the season. Ill reserve judgment of Xavier for when they play with their best players for an entire game.

So what happened for those of us working? Who was it?

Xavier loses their starting PG to a horrific fall 2 minutes into the game. He never moved. Was taken off the floor by ambulance. They were never the same since. Nova got hot at home and it was over after 10 minutes.

Thanks! I saw the replay. It looked horrible. I'm not saying XU should have won but it had to shake up the other players. I was somewhat shaken even knowing it was bad already. Thought I read he's gonna be fine and was released from the hospital.

I heard from my X buddies that Sumner got released from the hospital and came home with the team. Good news he's okay but I did get some good jabs in with my buddies with X losing.

Xavier would have lost to Villanova regardless of the injured player, but they are hard to handle at tjhe Cintas center.

Losing Sumner hurt Xavier, but Villanova was having one of their on nights. They take so many threes that when they're hot, they can produce some incredible margins.
