Congrats on a good game in a hostile environment. Kentucky looks like a legit top 10 team. I think the way we've been playing lately, we are probably right where we should be in the 4-8 range.

I was expecting a tough battle and got it. Kentucky is exactly the type of team that exposes our weak perimeter defense and can penetrate the ball at will.

I said before the season started that Mason could defend Ulis. I now retract that statement. Ulis was unguardable and caused Self to do something he hasn't done all year - switch to a zone defense.

Selden came to play in a big game.

Too soon after a lop sided called game. All I can say is I hope UK plays Kansas in the tourney.

Be honest, do you want to play us in March?

I agree the best players tonight was the Stripe Men when you get a 48 to 22 FT difference and 30 made to 13 made for Kentucky. That is the ballgame right there at FT Stripe! If Ulis could have stayed under control when we had the last play tied and lost control of the ball. That is not a Turnover you see from Ulis because he usually pulls up and scores or finds the open man to score. We had to finish the game tied with 9 seconds and coming down with a chance to win there was no way going to OT and winning tonight. Usually Ulis makes a huge play there at the end and we would have left with a huge win at Kansas tonight.

Kentucky played a great game and easily could have walked away with a W.

Kentucky was in the double bonus after the 5 minute mark in the first half.

Here is Poythress's answer to the officiating:

A reporter asked Poythress- “Did you feel like you were fighting an uphill battle against the officials in the second half?”

Poythress - “No, we have just got to learn how to play without fouling. It is something we have been struggling with all year.”

I hope we don't play UK in the tourney. Like I said, Kentucky is the type of team that gives our perimeter players fits. On a neutral court, this is another pick'em, but I'd give the advantage to Kentucky based on match-ups.

Again, congratulations on a great game. Not here to debate officiating. I am going to say it was fairly called and not fairly called in the first half. Kentucky fans are going to say it was one-sided. It's a losing argument and I'm a guest.

Great game. Kentucky has a legit shot at another Final 4 if you continue to improve and play like you did tonight.

Your best player went a strong 1-4 from the field and a nice 8-13 from the free throw line. I also don't think Ellis ever picked up a third foul despite fouling on every other possession. I wouldn't want a single player on the Kansas team except for maybe Bragg or Diallo....they have good upside. You can keep the rest of them.

What is played on your home court is not basketball. Congratulations for whatever that is and nobody, after seeing that, respects your winning streak there. That was absurd and you collectively should be ashamed of doing that to what amounts to the birthplace of basketball while playing the greatest program in college basketball history. You did no service to yourselves or the game. I hope you enjoy your little fake win and good riddance to you and your horseshit conference.

I know you don't really believe that with a 46-22 free throw advantage. I know you're just reacting to the negativity.

KU isn't as good as I thought. You guys couldn't touch UK on a neutral floor, and you know it.
We definitely would have lost tonight.

But if Self ever let Diallo and Bragg play major minutes we'd be a much better squad. Instead we have Lucas and Traylor shoved down our throats.

Knowsall knew exactly the response he would get on our board.

I'm not even one to complain about officiating but good grief that was odd. Kept thinking to myself these calls will even out a little.....nope.

I've gotta give credit to Selden. I said he was a mediocre player, but from what I've seen this year that's not the case. He might be realizing his potential. Other than that your other two guards are mediocre players and it will be hard for your team to win it all. KU is like UK in the fact that if neither team starts getting better production out of their bigs neither team will make it far.

You come to this board 20 minutes after our team loses to a rival who shoots nearly 30 more freethrows, at home, while 4 of our players foul out and expect to be welcomed with open arms? Like I said, as long as you don't leave Allen Fieldhouse you all are legit, but I'll lay money on a quick exit...again.

I've said it in other treads: When two teams are evenly matched and play the same style, it's impossible for one team to shoot more than twice the free throws of the other team if the game is officiated the same way on both ends. It's not possible - unless the refs get caught up in the emotion of the crowd, like they did tonight. Kudos to the KU fans for doing their part, but just like the out of bounds play when you cheated OU, you were gifted the game tonight. On a neutral court, Kentucky wins by double digits tonight.

The Chokehawks r not even a top 15 team at 15-6 with their only legitimate win all year at home vs Baylor. Realistically deserving of a 4-8 seed. Would have lost by double digits in a game.

Kansas only needed 2 fg attempts in ot to win. They were awarded 16 free throws in the extra period. Yes... You read those unbelievably corrupt stats correctly.

Enjoy your tainted win. Every hayseed fan knows they're in for more lube time when we play you all away from phog again. The game next year in rupp will make what we just did to mizzou look like a conjugal visit

Neither Kentucky's Coach or Players are going to blame the Officiating, but those of us who watched the game could see what really went on

I simply wanted to congratulate Kentucky on a fun game to watch. You are right, I knew that I would get attacked, but my congratulations and comments are genuine.

and Kansas has a legit shot at another Big12 title. Then both teams would have reached their goals for the season.

Really,do they have to come to rupp. That's go for us,but not so nice for them to think about. Coach Cal better remind the officials to call the game fairly also.[banana]

It amazes me how differently cbb games are called from one venue to the next. If both teams were to play at Rupp next weekend I bet the free throw shooting would swing in UK's favor but I highly doubt UK would end up with 30 more free throw attempts than KU. I just think the refs are easily influenced by the crowd and that's kind of ridiculous.
I would have really liked to see Tyler be able to hang onto the ball on that last possession in regulation. That is not something we are used to seeing from him.

Get lost. Just coming here tells me you know what you're doing. I never buy the "good sport" thing when opposing fans visit the opponent's boards after a win. Smh.
