Golden State

NBA title worthy team ? It looks possible to me, to say the least. When that Curry kid gets hot, he's an exciting player to watch, I have to admit. Yeah, squad they got.

They sure have the Cavs number. LeBron is probably looking to face anyone in the West other than GSW.

Most fun group to watch since the Showtime Lakers. They have a superstar, 2-3 all-star caliber players to go with him, and depth. I don't see anyone matching their style of play in a 7 game series.

Hard not to like Curry, played for a lower tier team in college, good head on his shoulders, and is an absolutely phenomenal basketball player.

Yes. And no one in the east can handle the Warriors. Spurs have a shot
IDK, maybe I'm missing a joke somewhere but if the Spurs and Warriors are in the Western Conference there is no way they can be in the NBA Finals together.
Unless he meant that whoever wins the Western Conference finals is basically the champion.

They are alright I guess. The question is though can they beat the spurs? I take experience over talent any day of the week and twice in game 7.

Stephen Currey is pretty solid, if he keeps working on his game he may be an all star level player. He may need to beef up a little though

Game 7 will be in GS...so that "experience" will have about a 1% chance of winning there IMO. GS gets home court...it's over IMO.

Would be interesting to see them win 74-75 games.

They are an interesting contrast to the "Big 3" model that Miami made popular. Teams like that are clearly hard to keep together (see: Harden leaving OKC for Houston and Lebron leaving Miami for Cleveland), but GSW clearly has 3 "stars", but really only one superstar, in Curry. Thompson and Green are both really strong #2/#3, with a lot of great filler around them that fit together beautifully. May also be easier to keep this squad together for the long haul.

They are really luck they didn't get Dwight, IMO.

It's easy when you get the best player in the NBA and only have to pay him 11 mil a year. Once Curry's up for a new contract things will get interesting.

Nah, I'd say lebron wants them pretty bad..
Yeah well it won't end well the the Cleveland Lebron's. Lebron is all world but the rest of his squad is Meh.
The finals might be very embarrassing for them. Get the brooms out.

They weren't swept last year and had no Love and no Irving pretty much. No way they win, but swept? Doubtful.

I see where you're going with that but like the other poster said, he was handy capped without some key players.. Steph don't have play D at all either.. Don't be surprised if lebron goes off for 40 in multiple games of that series ( if it happens ) ...

I made this thread in January of 2015.

I thought I must have gotten hammered and logged in one night because I did not remember posting this recently.

I know the cap is going up, but I don't know if salaries are going up as well. If not, they should easily be able to keep the core together. Igoudala is not gonna be worth what he's being paid for much longer, and they're gonna have to pay Harrison Barnes, but Green, Thompson, and Curry are young and they aren't going anywhere.

The salary cap and player's salaries are directly correlated.
