They came out ready to play and didn't back down. Regardless of how we came out early, they wanted this game every bit as much as we did. Kudos.

They wanted it more.

Hats off to them. Helluva game by them.

Only problem is they will be mediocre from here on out and not help our co defence by once again missing the tournament.

If you can look like the Spurs against Kentucky, don't look like the Sisters every other night.

Yes, they were awesome. All the people complaining about the refs are silly. This was Ole Miss hitting clutch shot after clutch shot and getting Kentucky to foul them with pump fakes. And, we were very lucky that one guy got cramps at the end.

I am thrilled with the win and it serves as a great lesson for Towns, Johnson, even WCS about their offense. I think there was a lot of guys reading how their defense was the greatest thing ever and they were given a good productive scare.

They played great but id bet anything they won't shoot like they did against anyone else!

They played great glad we played just a nudge better but I tip my hat to them. Unlike these so called elite teams we have played this year they actually gave us a game.

They were flat out awesome tonight.

This goes to show what it will take to beat UK. We played terribly for long stretches, played very little defense all game long, took every offensive shot they had, and won. We still won.

Hopefully our guys now realize that no lead in the first half is big enough to start letting up on defense.

It is so easy to give an opponent immeasurable confidence when you are number one and supposed to be historic.

They played lights out. We played poor on defense to spurts of good defense. Although Ole miss hit some incredible shots and was unbelievably accurate with hands in their face, it seems like we need to work on defense some in the coming week.

They hit unbelievable shot after shot...

They also played pretty good defense on the interior.

They played there hearts out tonight and lost. If I was Ole Miss I would of fouled Willie on every time we got the ball in OT. Willie was huge in OT.

That isn't true. We jumped on them quickly and had a chance to knock them out early until we became 3 point shooting happy and stopped playing defense. We didn't take this team seriously and nearly paid a serious price for it.

Ole Miss hit everything: 3's, runners, throw it up and it goes in wild bank shots, etc.
Ky's big guys all laid eggs except Willie for his sometimes defense.
Ole Miss will never play this inspired again this year. That's what you get when you're KY, everybody's best game and hitting shots like never before.

Yep, they came to play today. Gotta hand it to them, they played great tonight.

Wonderfully tough game to play, epic hard on them to lose it. I'd say they're the best 5 loss team in the country, to borrow a phrase from a once known poster on these boards ....

Played the game of ther lives and still lost. They beat everyone else in college basketball tonight.

Great game by the Rebels. Kennedy did a fantastic job in his game plan. Don't want to play this team in their house.

Ole Miss shot the lights out. They outplayed us at times too. On our floor. The conference games can be tough. We're still good. Don't let this close game get you down.

But, back to Ole Miss. I take my hat off to them. Very good game by them.

If Moody doesn't cramp up, he likely makes 3-3 FT's on that foul by WCS on the 3 pointer...instead we select Rhett he only makes 1-3 FT's and Moody watches the rest of the game from the bench...not sure how this game ends if Moody still balling for them at the end.

Ole Miss made our big's spectators for most of this game with how they play outside/in offensively (every shot falling for their top 3 shooters), packing in their Defense & Blocked us out. We couldn't platoon tonight, Lee, Ulis didn't bring it and Dakari couldn't help on their shooters...first time we looked like the team gassed by OT. Our kids weren't used to playing those kind of minutes.

That said Booker and the Harrisons stepped up and made shots & plays off the dribble to get the W for us. WCS finally made plays in OT also.

I'll give the rebels props if they try thst hard against other SEC teams , my head tells me it was just another bunch of punk ass bitches trying to make a name for them selves with being great in 1 single game .. Were they great tonight ? Yep , when they bring it more than once a year I'll give it up for them .

When my brother, who lives in Atlanta, and I talked after the game he asked me one question, "We don't have to play Ole' Miss again, do we?"

This. We did everything we needed to do to make this a 20+ point blowout win as expected...then for some bizarre reason stopped playing hard and gave them HOPE. That is the key to playing competitive against a team like UK, you have to not only play great physically, but have to have that belief mentally. We gave them that unfortunately and it was a battle to the end.

I'm still shocked we did not pull away in the 2nd half...kudos to them.
