Give It Up For Jackson, Thrower, and Wallace

Physically they're both upgrades. Mental aspect of the game is where we miss those super seniors.

I was always extremely high on Jackson but Wallace really came on. Up till now he played hesitant and rarely showed up with his feet under him. Not the case anymore. Huge leap forward

They look good. Wade looks good outside but we need two or three more good ones on the edge. Hope Fearbry (?) works out after his decommit from Penn State as he will be needed in a big way next season.

Love that square is being a leader even when not playing and actually vocally hyping up his backups.

You’d think that would be a no brained but a lot of guys secretly want to be “missed” out there for their own ego
I agree. Square has always seemed like a good kid and leader from my outsider perspective. I don't think he'd make a NFL roster, but he was a multi-year SEC starter which is impressive enough. If he wants to go into coaching it seems like he'd be great.

Wallace was eye opening on the field. He is fast as all get out for an interior LBer.
There was a guy talking about him from Georgia. He said he saw Tevin play tailback in high school thought he was one of the best. Tevin loves playing d. He would be a load at tailback. I think it was him that ran back a field goal on UF in one of our wins. I think that was last year.

Two way player next season.

If Rodgers and Valentine both come back next season the defense in 2023 is looking very very good
Unless we hit some home runs in the portal (QB, RB, OL, OL, OL, OL, OL) and replace Skank and his sidekick, the defense is gonna have to pitch some shutouts, I'm afraid. Defense is usually pretty good under Stoops but the offense is usually a hot mess and this year might be the worst yet.

This year is better than 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2020. And arguably 2016 and 2017.

I can't remember a more unorganized, uninspired effort on that side of the ball than what I've seen this year. The OL is the worst I have ever seen. Even Joker 2012 had better results on the OL than this group. And it's a shame with all the talent we have on offense. I expect a bunch of transfers in the offseason.

Oh you sweet summer child. I’ve seen UK football atrocities you can’t even imagine.

All the newer fans forget the days where 3rd and 1 was basically a punting situation or the endless times of getting curb stomped by everyone that came through

I'm pretty excited to see Wade out there full time after a year in the S&C program. Hopefully he turns into a game wrecker. Wallace should give a boost to blitzing from the inside with his athletic ability.

I’ve been die hard since the mid-80’s. I can’t remember an OL where every single time the QB drops back to pass he is under constant pressure or sacked. The Joker and Bill Scurry years were really bad teams but I don’t remember their OL being this bad.

Either you have some serious recency bias or tailgated too hard back during that time. Who could blame you considering how painful it used to be.

3rd and 1 used to be basically a punt. Now it's something we expect to get. That alone speaks volumes. The OL can absolutely play much better. It's inconsistent from snap to snap. They're pretty decent on run blocking but struggles most with pass blocking. Coupled with a QB that's hobbled and extremely slow on reads, and it's a really bad combo

We've had OLines this bad during Stoop's tenure IMO. Great at run blocking but terrible in Pass Protection. The talent is there with these guys but they get lost on their assignments a lot. Burton, for as athletic as he is, he whiffs a lot. The mental game for Burton and Cox just isn't there yet.
