Get Bamba and one of Johnson/Diallo..

Yeah, I agree, but with Cal there's always a chance but I would think this pushes him to Zona. JMO.
We could use Diallo but Bamba is a must need to be the hands down best team by March. Richards is a lotto pick and a little better on O then Bamba but Bamba is another level defender then anyone is college for going to be in college next season.
I just hope Johnson waits for Diallo. There is room at the 2 spot, even with Knox here. Bamba is a must, but the this shouldn't scare Johnson off. He isn't coming here because he wants a jump to the NBA, he's already been in college for 3 years. I'd imagine he wants on the radar, and he does that at UK even if there are other good players.
Bamba is key for this team to being special even though we'll be so young. How well this group gels will be vital for super success (title).
Hopefully Bamba liked the cookies as well as Knox did at the McDonald's game.
IMO we need Bamba to "complete" the roster.

I see your viewpoint, and can't really disagree. IMO, Bamba is needed to help bolster the frontcourt and with Richards we will have the best two freshman bigs in the country.
Diallo is also a big need; as you said, his athleticism, and the fact he is a natural 2 makes me hope he returns.

Johnson is unlikely now, IMO.
Cal won't go the whole season with only two real guards in SGA & Green which makes me think Diallo is returning. Baker is a role player at best and Knox is a 6'8" SF.

We still have 3 scholarships available if Diallo, Cam, and Bamba all still want to be here, though...
The bottom line is that UK will already have multiple matchup advantages over everyone it plays next season. Bamba would take UK to another level, however.
Most of the Kevin Knox Dad interview talked about how close of a friendship he and Mo Bamba have playing ball together. It sounded to me that Kevin Knox If wanting to play with Mo Bamba figured or knew that he would commit to UK in the next month. It was brought up a lot about Knox and Bamba would probably talk about Knox's decision to commit to UK. We all know that through this process with Knox and Bamba most of the Experts were saying Bamba to UK and that Knox would end up at a ACC School. It just sounded to me that Knox and Bamba really wanted to play together and I believe that Knox and Bamba had already talked about UK and committing to Kentucky. Maybe also when doing the interview Knox's dad just assumed that from most experts and even the player that Bamba was leaning to Kentucky and that Knox and Bamba did discuss this wanting to play together and the reason Knox commits to UK tonight. We also know that both Knox and Bamba both love to play basketball with PG Quade Green and they both know they will get their share of the basketball and that Green is an outstanding Assist man just like Ulis and Fox. I would say that Bamba will be the next to commit and it does look like Kentucky. That would leave us 1 schollie unless Diallo decides to stay in the NBA DRAFT and then I would say Coach Cal tries to get Cam Johnson. If Diallo returns to UK then I would say Johnson heads to Arizona.
You realize we went the whole national championship season with 2 guards in Teague and Lamb. Miller and MKG played some guard as well. My point being is we have 3 really good guards . Baker is going to be a role player but one who will have a few 20 pt games and have a few 6-7 from 3 type games . We could use another guard but JV plays like a guard on offense alot of the time and Knox can play some as well . Hell PJ has decent handles for his size as well. Bamba is the key . Diallo or Johnson just make us more complete as someone else said.
Makes sense. Yeah, I took the dad's comments to strongly indicate Bamba would follow. Just seems unlikely, given their relationship, that Knox would pick UK if he didn't think Bamba was coming too.
Don't underestimate the decision making abilities of both Vanderbilt and Washington. The biggest strength of next season's team is going to be it's versatility. Probably the most versatile team Cal has had at UK.
I highly doubt he has a few 20 point games. Probably won't even have one.

I want Diallo really bad. I thought we had him and everyone said he's playing for UK next season but it's 50/50 right now.
