Georgia offensive lineman Devin Willock and football staff member Chandler LeCroy were killed in a car wreck Sunday morning at 2:45 am in Athens, Georgia. Two unidenified members of the football program, a 21 year old male and a 26 year old female were also injured in the accident. Condolences from the BBN to the Bulldogs in their time of mourning.

Just terrible news, my thoughts are with both Wilcox and LeCroy's families, friends, coaches, and teammates. Also, to the other people also in the vehicle. Just really horrible news.

I used to live in the area they wrecked. About 1/2 mile down Barnett Shoals my first two years in Athens. It’s a 5 lane wide road (two lane each way and a turn lane). It’s a notoriously bad road for speeding. Lots apartment complexes and duplex areas. It’s 45 if I remember correctly but it’s not hard to find people going 60-70 thru just based on the openness of the road. They were probably up early prepping for the parade and recruiting events. These visiting kids like to stay out late with the players and staffers. Photos of the vehicle are tragic. It’s a miracle that two people survived and those two will likely deal with guilt forever (survivors guilt). Let’s just keep these people in our thoughts and if prayer or good vibes are your thing, those too. It would be uncouth to assume anyone was intoxicated at this point.
