He was the QB coach at USCjr under Spurrier. Also, he was let go by Will Muschamp and his staff. He made 295K as the QB coach. If Mainord or someone on the offensive side leaves Stoops needs to get on him ASAP.
Fits exactly what we need. He's a veteran coach that has been around some very good offenses and coached up some very good QBs. He's familiar with multiple sets and tempos. He's also been in the SEC for a while and has recruited very well in the south. Not to mention someone who is familiar with Drew Barker (he recruited him at USCjr) and Drew is familiar with him.
As far as UK Football Christmas gifts, he would probably be at the top of the list.
