Cool. I thought Curci had left us.
His '77 team was best I've ever seen, easily. Had there been a playoff system then & UK eligible, I feel they could have won the title. D gave up 10 pts a game.

My favorite Coach Curci quote was from his last game as coach when he told UT Coach Johnny Majors at mid-field before the the game "Johnny we're going to kick your _SS today!!!" And he did just that beating the Vols 21-10 that day!! Still had that fire even though it was his last game as UK's coach.

21-17 was in 1977. He’s talking about Curci’s last game in 1981.
No, it was 21 -10. It was really cold and we dominated the Vols who had a decent team in 81. It was only our 3rd win of the year, but was still sweet.
Curci wore Johnny Major’s top coat that day. I think he had borrowed it previously but, never had returned it.
