Mandel predicts UK 31-24 win (Feldman has us losing 23-22), and Feldman has UL losing 30-28. Will be an awfully happy weekend around here if that comes to fruition...

UofL should roll, but ya never know after a big game last weekend...

Maybe they'll have a bit of an emotional let down.

Starting 0-2 would put a serious damper on their optimism for the season.

Houston appears to be a team UL should beat, but cannot overlooked. Jackson should get a chance to throw the ball, as Houston does not get pressure. They gave up over 300 yards passing last week. They do have some decent DBs, but one Tenn Tech WR racked up 264 yards receiving. Wow!!!

I think UL offense is going to roll!

Houston is the perfect definition of a trap game. inbetween Auburn & only 5 days from Clemson, the immaturity of many young guys on UL's offense having to play due to injuries not focusing or giving proper respect to this Saturday's opponent.

Houston meanwhile wasnt a disaster of a team last year, won 8 gms the last 2 seasons. and hired an exciting enthusiastic offensive coach from the national championship team. I'm sure for them this is a game they have had circled all offseason for a chance to make a national name for themselves early.

then throw in it is a noon start, the perfect timing for a road team, should be sparse crowd with thousands of unsold tickets. and those who do stumble in to actually view the game will be sleepy and less than vocal.

I would love this scenario but I'm trying to not be such a hater. I'm much more interested in UK winning than UL losing. Don't need any bad Karma. I'm skeptical, but I hope the boys in Blue take a big step forward this weekend!

I fully expect Louisville to be hungry enough to handle Houston. Competitive game for the most part before the Cards pull away comfortably late. I just can't imagine a team that is coming in 0-1 on the year is susceptible to the dreaded trap game. That being said, could you imagine Louisville being 0-2 with Clemson coming in on a short week? That would get my hater juices all in a boil.

I've got no clue what to think of our matchup in Columbia tomorrow. Nervous but aspirationally optimistic? Hard to describe what I'm feeling.

I agree with this.

Houston scored 54 points last week. I know UL's D and Tennessee Tech's aren't comparable but I do expect Houston to score around 30 points and make UL sweat. If Jackson can't get rolling UL may be in for a shocker

UL never has unsold tickets (except on Jewish holidays, which is a major obstacle for UL), and all seats are ALWAYS full all the time. :)

Houston getting film on the backup ul QB is huge. It's hard making adjustments on the fly, it can be very difficult.

That would just be great making Kentucky 2-0 and Louisville 0-2.:cool2:[banana][cheers]

However, the entire SEC Network table of analysts (Tebow, McElroy, Finebaum, Marcus, etc.) picked Carolina to defeat UK.

they all hate UK and won't pick us until we win several games. they just will not take that step in their mind until we 3 or 4 sec games in a season.
