With a weak 2018 draft coming, can Fox improve his draft stock? With a bunch of 'NBA ready guards' , participating this year, would it hurt Fox's draft stock returning another year? With the incoming class and returning players, I don't see a drop off in production. I believe that Fox can play into a #1 spot possibly. Very similar speed and handle as John Wall, he went 1...
I know highly unlikely, a what if scenario. What do you all think.

Fox and Monk are gone. Bam is the player who could help his game and his draft stock by another year in college. I hope he comes back, but if history holds he won't.

He's probably a top 6-7 pick as it is. The money difference is like a million per year, but he'd be making like three million a season, so he'd never get that money back, even if he went #1.

Besides, guys like Ayton and Porter and Bamba are going to crowd the top of the draft next year. It's a weak draft with depth, but it's as good at the top as this year, if not better.

No. He is top 5 or 6 now. He will be there next year as well when you factor in Ayton, Bamba, Porter, Carter.
If the bad teams take their PGs this year, they will be looking at size in the next draft and there are some good ones coming out.

No chance in the world Fox is coming back and he shouldn't be. He'll definitely be in the top 10 pics and guaranteed a boatload of money. Come back and risk a major injury? No way! He's gone and I don't blame him.

It's ALL ABOUT the 2nd contract man. The difference of the 5th pick's rookie contract and the 12th pick's rookie contract is relatively negligible.

Not sure why people don't get this or choose not to get this.

Not saying it will be Bam, but we WILL have guys from time to time that come back for another year because the D-league is not as appealing to them as another year of college life. Hoping Bam is one of them, but doubt it.

Is this a serious post? hes a Top 5 pick right now in one of the strongest drafts in the last 15 years. He will be a fool to come back and risk getting injured to try and improve his draft stop 2-4 spots.

Fox and Monk are gone for sure if you are in the conversation for top 10 pick, coming back is a gamble. More than likely Bam would improve his status, but there is a possibility it could go the other way.

He doesn't play for North Carolina, duke, or Louisville, so he's gone.
Anyone with even limited math skill and a knowledge of the NBA contract system will advise him to go. Keep this in mind... Mike Conley of the Memphis Grizzlies makes over $25 Million per year. Fox will be better than Conley in two years and can expect a contract similar to Conley's at age 25 if he goes now. He is gone.

Well duh..

Some have projected him at 4, and I do not believe he would ever get to first. Even at that, the difference from 4th to 1st is 1.65 million per year for 2 years. The risk of injury, or even dropping in the draft, is certainly not worth the risk. Plus, kids only have so many years to play, and this gets him to his 2nd contract that much quicker. Although, 8 or 9 million for two years is nothing to sneeze at, the 2nd contract is where they really start to make their money. Fox is gone, and smartly so.

No offense, but this is one of the dumbest posts I've ever seen on here. He's slated to go in the top 5 or 6 picks, and you think he should come back to try and be the 1st pick? Are you serious? I hope you're not his agent.

His total abuse of Lonzo Ball(and Lavar) sealed his top 5 status in this NBA Draft. He will go higher than most of these so called experts have him.

If I were an NBA GM that needed a PG, I would definitely take him over any other. He is so athletic and fast, he can change the dynamic of any team from the get go.

I always wish they would come back, but never expect them too. This train of thought will limit your expectations

If you're holding out any hope that fox is coming back let me save you the heartbreak and tell you to let it go

Yep. Same can be said for Bam and Briscoe. They are all leaving. If they weren't - Cal wouldn't be out recruiting all these new guys for this year.

Seems like he's in the conversation for #1 this year after his performance over the last month.

That said, being an adult sucks sometimes.

I think that makes a lot of sense myself. I imagine monk and fox will schedule a press conference anytime from as early as tomorrow to some time next week.

Bam seems like he's gonna go through and get evaluated before hiring an agent. I think Robert Williams going back to A&M could potentially move bam up a few spots.

plus next years draft looks a little deeper on big men.
