Read earlier this week where Cal had some sports Psychologist address the team. Well that sure worked

Seriously, why can't Cal bring someone in to teach the fundamentals of free throw shooting? Half our players such as Briscoe, get up there and each time either just over shoot the rim, show no patience, have no standard routine, hope a quick release will work, etc. I can get where some big men are going to struggle but guards?

Has Cal done this before? I don't recall, although I recall Orlando T bringing in a sports shrink toward the end. But yeah, better free throw shooting would be great certainly.

Lee and Briscoe shooting granny style would honestly be better than what they're doing right now. I would just work on coming up with some unique form that works for them, no matter how ridiculous it looks, and tell them they will either shoot it like that every time or they're going to the bench.

I will say that at least with Lee he'll occasionally rip some and they look good, but Briscoe might have the most broken free thrown of anyone I've ever seen. It's like he just casually slings it up there, not a care in the world, and it always hits the back of the rim. There's no way even he believes that it's going in. It's infuriating to watch as a fan.

Half of free throw shooting is confidence. A person can have a good looking stroke and still stuck at FTs if they lack confidence
