This is the worst Calipari man-to-man defensive team in his career. One of the worst in UK history. Cal teams have historically been strong defensively (and UK teams in general), so could he please switch to a zone? These kids are too slow to react to man-to-man, too poor at man-to-man switches and P&Rs, and too thin inside...way too far gone for late in the year. Switch to zone now or this season is over. I cannot watch Edwards turn and watch an offensive shot while his man runs to the boards anymore, or Reed gamble, or Thiero or Ugo getting lost, or Reeves or Dilly getting burned. How many times have we watched 4 opposing players under the board and either none or one UK player? If they're gonna stay with man, then Burks should start if he can stay out of foul trouble. This is a historically great offensive team and it's a shame to see it go to waste. The poor man-to-man is not Cal's fault, it's the players', but if they can't coach them up and still won't switch to zone then it's all on the coaching staff.
