In 96 there was UMASS

In 2012 there was UNC (somewhat)

This year? VA's best player is hurt. Gonzaga cant guard us. Arizona has lost to some bad teams. Duke cannot keep up with us. Villanova cannot contain our bigs. Kansas lost Alexander & we beat them by 32.

The closest I can come up with is Wisconsin, but we beat them last year with a much worse team than this year. I would not be afraid to play them at all.

What do you guys think? Is there a team out there that truly worries you against these Cats?

I know fluke games can happen & anybody can beat anybody in the tourney, but it is my opinion that the stars are aligning for history to be made.

Man... I really hope so!

HAHA! They do have some AMAZING guards. I hope they close out Belmont tonight & do not get screwed over on their seeding. I will have them in my S16 FOR SURE.

The way I see it, if its going to happen, it might as well be this year.

Our defense should carry us pretty far. Just got to keep on attacking that basket.

Murray State won't beat UK, but they could be VERY dangerous to some other teams. Yes, I think the sweet 16 is quite doable for them

On team that certainly does not scare me is Virginia.. Our big's would have a field day inside against them.

Blueathletics,

I thought about making a case for Zona, but they have looked AWFULLY pedestrian at times this year. They have length & athleticism, but I do not perceive them as a threat to Kentucky much at all to be honest. I have watched them 4/5 times this year & at times they look like worldbeaters. Other times they look like a team that could easily get bounced in the round of 32. In my opinion, they do not possess the consistancy needed to win a title.

Just my worthless, uneducated, blue-tinted opinion.

in 1978, I wasn't worried about any other teams at that time. I was pretty sure we were invincible. Our major handicap at that time was that Joe B. was the coach!!

Every team scares me. Too many times an inferior team knocked Ky out of the tournament. I go into each ncaat game thinking we'll get beat. When we win, makes it much better...when we lose, doesn't sting as much.

Slow down. A team of john wall, Bledsoe, and cousins should NEVER lose. They did.
A final 4 team(whoever they are) scares the crap out of me. We look good, but I think
It would be better to be cautiously optimistic as opposed to
Just optimistic

Just stupid

I agree with your WV comment in 2010, but going into that tourney, they did not scare me at all.

As I said in the first post, anybody can beat anybody. That is not the point of my post.

I am simply saying that I cannot ever remember going into the tourney as a top seed without a list of teams I would REALLY prefer that Kentucky avoids. Until now.

Only team I'm worried about wears black and white stripes
