We are one of the poorest teams at finishing around the basket. We could use an Okafor on offense. Other than lobs, we struggle greatly finishing at the basket. We need to improve on that before the NCAA Tournament.

Most of it is Dakari. The biggest guy on the team is also the softest and has the weakest hands. He takes the ball to the rim like a 13 year old girl every single time. He's one of my favorite players but GD he's driving me f'ing nuts with how damn weak he goes up with the ball. Plus he tries to avoid contact at all costs.

if the bigs would take the ball up with two hands instead of this one hand crap....

I'm 67 and have a higher vertical than Dakari..

DJ always brings the ball down near his waist and gets stripped every time. If by some miracle he doesn't get stripped of the ball, then he jumps about 1.5 inches and fades away.

This...this...and more this....so frustrating.

I just don't understand Dakari. I can't imagine being that big and not breaking someone's arm who tries to block my dunk....even if it just out of frustration.

He gets blocked way more than he should. If I were Cal I would make him dunk 100 times in a row for practice one day.

Dakari was 3-9 from field and was basically a turnover when the ball was thrown to him. WCS he is a turnover machine when he puts the ball on the floor in traffic. Karl always turns the wrong way and continues to brick right hand jump hooks. Just shoot a Tim Duncan jumper off glass.

Vandy was smart don't help on our bigs stay on shooters. Our bigs are our weakness on offense. Not one big has a go to post move. Dakari lost weight and got worse. WCS best move is a squared up jumper. Come on Kenny Payne...get one of these bigs better on offense

If the refs don't call the arm slapping and tripping it works.

That is the way it is in the SEC.

He is the softest 250 lbs. that I have ever seen but my ? is why does he get so many touches & Towns gets so few. Towns can post up strong & never get the entry pass.........reminds me of all the times Cuz was open & never got the ball. Has to be frustrating. Need a strong inside game to make a strong NCAA run

I think Dakari's 3 made baskets was the fast breaks he scored on in the 1st half. Never seen so many missed or blocked 3 inch shots. We have to lead the NCAA in the worse shooting percentage on point blank shots (not including break away layups and dunks) from our 3 bigs (Dakari, WCS, Towns). At 7 foot, 70% should be dunks with some and ones.
We need more production from our bigs on the offensive end (they are great on defense). Shouldn't be hard to dunk it, but we don't seem to be able to dunk it when standing right under the basket.

I want to know where the aggression went along with the lob? Rarely see it even attempted anymore. Not to mention when the pick and rolls are open, they haven't been making the pass.

He gets blocked so often because he can't elevate. If he can't clear space or push off and get a relatively open look, the shot is coming back at him. WCS just does not have an array of post moves so we can't rely on him. I would get KAT more touches in the post for sure. He should baby hook teams to death over both shoulders. That being said, I wouldn't trade our group of bigs for anyone else.

They need to dunk more. Period. Stop w/ the 1-ft bank shots or easy lay-in attempts from close range. These guys can almost dunk the ball without jumping off the floor. No excuse not to dunk when close.

Ex: Cauley-Stein last night, running a fast break, takes a feed from Harrison and tries to lay it in. Got fouled, went to the line. At his size and on the run, a dunk should be the only option.

It's a mental/aggressiveness thing.
