OK, straight up the older uf fans were awesome people to talk to and after the game they were gracious winners. the under 25 crowd can kiss my ass. i had 3 people holding me off some little dipshit flipping the bird at about 20 of us asking "any of you want some?" im sure he feels tough but he doesnt know how close he got to taking the ass whooping of his life. geeze dude you won the game and you're acting like an ass?

glad i made it home and could calm down but that was the worst show of poor sportsmanship i've ever seen. i'll never think of uf the same after that shit. blah@@!!!

What's it matter? You should just get used to it because Kentucky will NEVER beat Florida again.

So somebody young and dumb, and probably somewhat intoxicated acted that exact way? A fan base of millions you are now soured on because one flipped you the bird? C'mon.

Try going to the swamp and see the whole collection of douche bags. And UF puts the visitors right next to the students. They have some nice fans mixed in, but I hope most of their other fans never procreate.

As for getting pissed off for someone giving you the finger, you need to get some thicker skin. It gets a lot worse than that at other SEC stadiums. And if you're going to try to start a fight every time it happens, you are in for a long life.

Let me try to take the high ground here, instead of describing every negative thing that Kentucky fans have committed through my many long years of watching the various SEC sports.

I've been around since Spurrier was our QB.
In my long experience, there are good fans and 'ugly fans' in every fan base.
That covers right here, the streets and bars, and in the various stadiums.
Talk to the good guys and ignore the ugly twits,,, has worked for me for decades.

Judging a very large group by the (good or bad) few is always an over-simplification mistake imo. And getting into a street fight over what some twit says or does (as long as they keep their hands to themselves) is just plain stupid.

And don't tell me that I don't know how it feels either, I sat through every home game in the 1979 0-10-1 season. (argh) :flush: I also know and remember what it's like to just be hoping that my team makes it to a bowl (any) game this year.

IF you feel the need to fight over something important, then join the military instead of getting all worked up over the outcome of college sports games. o_O

I'll just say this. I like going to road games but I will never attend a game in Gainesville. Take that for what it's worth.

Florida fans I met after the game were respectful knowing our disappointment. They very much liked the stadium improvements. After winning 29 straight times is something that evokes politeness as the older fans realize before Spurrier, the Gators were generally toothless for many years.

Well for the guy saying Gator fans are the worst I'd say he is clumping us all together. I have sat through basketball games with Cat fans and could say the same things. Some people are just @#$heads and use sporting events to be said creatures.

My advice is take a moment and don't lower yourself to their level. Good game Cats, your defense is for real and hopefully next year both teams will be coming off big bowl wins when we meet in Gainesville...

I started watching Gator football right around the mid 90's and the funny thing is we were known for Gatorade more than championships. I have been blessed to have seen some great football since my inception into fanhood back then.

I hope you guys get it going so our game means a lot in the coming years(hopefully we hold up our end as well). Speaking of good times I remember being doused in beer by Bama fans in Tebows last SEC game. See you next year Big Blue Nation, God Bless.

I'll be honest with me yesterday it was just one guy and I almost blame the usher more than him. It was some jerk off in section 223 and 224. I say 2 sections because the douche decided he was going to put himself in the middle of the aisle and lean against the rail taunting people. The usher eventually came up and took him down but the let him back up. I couldn't really give a crap less if that guy made it home safely or not.

Can I just give some people some advice. Things like this are much better off if they are policed by that guy's fans. A few years ago when Tebow got hit by Wyndham and was laying on the ground. We had some Florida fans behind us that had been cool all game long. I forget exactly what the idiot UK fan said but it was completely tasteless and uncalled for and the Florida fans got rightfully mad. A couple of us jumped in and told the Florida fan we would take care of it and we did. The moral is if you see your own fans acting like idiots it's best if you stop it because if the other teams fans have to it generally ends up really bad. The Florida fans that were with that guy seemed to think it was cute I guess.

I had a similar scenario in the Swamp a few years back when Tebow dropped over 40+ on UCF and 3 of their fans were in front of us. This time, the UF fan was probably around 40 years old raggin the hell out of the UCF fans just enjoying hanging out together. I told the dude to chill out on those kids and shut the hell up, it after all is just a game.....but hey they are everywhere! Proceed to the Nole game in Tally, and nole fans had stripped taken their ball caps off my wife and daughters head after Tebow again laid them out in 08....they are everywhere unfortunately!!!!

My first football game in Lex. I had a great time tailgating in the Arboretum lot. Stadium looks great too. Everyone I spoke to was very hospitable and respectful. Aside from the ugly game it was an overall awesome experience. Definitely going back in two years.

We followed a group of 4 or 5 Florida fan kids out of the red lot and they were dicks to everyone they passed. Even stooping down to get loud at some little child with his uk gear on.. That's when 3 people held some guy back...was that you op?

Several of us had the same issues while leaving the stadium...they are ,and maybe always have been the biggest entitled, ass hole fan base in the conference

It is not just Florida fans. A young guy in the next section over from mine (28) in the expensive seats with club access, got himself arrested and thrown out of the game for loudly and profanely swearing at Florida fans within his vision, I for one was glad to see this young asshole gone, hope they take his tix for the season.

Lots of this type of behavior these days at games, one reason I never intend on going to an NFL game ever again.

I had no issues with the Gator fans around us in sec. 209. Every fan base has it's own group of knuckleheads but I didn't run into any at the game.

Have not been to Gainesville yet, but went to Baton Rouge last year and had no issues and people were very nice
Well in fairness, I was there with a buddy in Alabama's section at an Alabama-LSU game - not a UK-LSU game. There were people behind us that had urine dropped on them from the upper deck. Not cool.

I haven't seen any Florida fans out of line in 3 games (small sample size, I know) at Commonwealth. I sit in section 10 and there were a LOT of them around me. The only issue I saw Saturday was one of our "fans" who was all kinds of fuuuucked up trying to start crap with other UK fans.

Much repeated by the ignorant, but incorrect.
The only thing that UF has lacked from 1950 until the middle 1980's was Championships. Review the season W/L records to see for yourself.
Gator Losing seasons since 1950 counting backwards:
2013
1984 SEC-C and mNC by 7 organizations including NY-Times and Sagarin
The SEC-C was retro-revoked by 1 vote, but the mNC remains listed.

1979 (11 years before Spurrier arrived as UF's HBC)
1978 (Dig Ducky's last two (of 3) losing seasons before being booted)
1971

1961
1955
1953

That's a total of 7 losing seasons over the last 65 years, which is much better than mighty Bama in that same span, or the often over-rated ND for that matter.... o_O

I met a very nice couple from Florida after the game. He was glad for their win but was very humble and disappointed in Florida's play. I hope Ky fans are as nice as they were!.

As far as the OP goes, there are always idiots in every stadium...unfortunately you got stuck next to one. I almost got in a scuffle with a Gamecock fan years ago after they beat us at home. He was some drunk idiot like the guy next to you was.

There were 20 of you guys, and you didn't smack that tard into next week???
You should be ashamed, come on man!

Have been to every away game from 2009 to the present. Went to quite a few of them before that. I have been in every SEC Stadium except Texas A&M in College Station because UK has yet to play there, most multiple times. In my experience the worst fans are at Neyland and the Swamp. I will say that there are good and bad at every venue. At Death Valley I have been treated very well to include being invited to their tailgates.

more a statement her e about our young fans than Gators but I go to the games with my wife who is a Gator alum and fan first, UK fan 2nd. We had to walk a long way to the stadium and through droves of UK students. She had her Gator shirt on, we had lots of kids yelling at us, all of it good natured. No real problems. On the way out she said we will probably get a beer bottle thrown at us, I said better not provide me with a weapon. I am 67 but not afraid, too late in life for that. Anyway,, everyone was very nice to us, no problems at all. We are heading to Lex now, both of us in our UK garb. It's just a game,, I have to say at CWS the only time I see any fans out of the way is when UL comes to town. Too much animosity on BOTH sides of that game,, probably shouldn't play the game imo.Go Cats!!!

The Florida fans I sat next to were very nice. Actually the bad fans around me were some other uk fans that kept trying to pick a fight with uf fans

OP should have just put the guy in his place, and then we would not have had to read this whiny thread.
