was scanning thru SEC midweek games on the SEC network plus, and was watching the UF vs FA&M game when A&M went to the bullpen in the bottom of the 7th inning. The pitcher who came in for the Rattlers carried 2 gloves, he was a lefty and righty pitcher who could throw with either arm.
I believe there is/was a pitcher in the majors, maybe played for Oakland, that could throw with either arm, and had a special 6 fingered glove, so he could simply switch hands, when facing a LH or RH batter.

This is really interesting to me. The pitcher has to declare which side he pitches from before the at bat.

Yes, he does. I suppose he would wait until the batter is announced.

I think that's where it gets tricky. If it's a switch hitter I believe they made the rule that the pitcher decides first and the hitter second.
