Flax and Davis recognized for their efforts

I have to eat crow on Flax….he was miserable last year and when we kept his spot starting this year …wasn’t a fan

Give Flax and Yenser tons of credit for turning it his play around
I'm in the same boat. I thought it was too late for Flax to finally get it. I don't feel too badly about it though. Stoops said he doubted Flax. That's why he recruited Ford as his replacement. That motivated Flax to put in the work. Because Ford was coming for that spot. So based on what we had seen we had reason to be wrong on this one. And I'm thrilled to have been wrong.

Well, he was a 4 star and numero uno Juco at his position and he’s just now actually playing well so I would say jury is still out.
And people need to stop acting like they KNEW this was going to happen. I'd say we should just be happy that he's played well so far instead of being asses to each other.

Nobody KNEW Flax would go off. Some of us just listened to the coaches and expected improvement. It was very much a "wait and see" situation this year, and now we're seeing.

Asking others to not be asses when tons on this board wrote paragraphs dragging Flax through coals, glass, and mud is fine and dandy, but unrealistic. Some of our "fans" ripped the hell out of our boys last year and into the first few games this season. I'd call that being an ass.

Everyone expects the best from the team, so there's no excuse for the absolute vitriol that was posted here. Frustration is one thing – spite is another. We aren't Bama fans poisoning trees. We aren't ut fans throwing golf balls and mustard bottles on the field. We're Kentucky fans supporting our team and defending our guys when they're down instead of counting them out.

You guys are 50% on prognostications at this point. We were correct on Burton at center. I'm not going to act like an ass and be a douche over it. I wish Burton had succeeded at center. I'm thrilled Flax has improved to this point. We have some football left to play this season. I'd dial back the chest thumping.
