Rannouncers have no idea theres a game being played
I like Fish, think he does a good job. However that segment with Woods was ridiculous. Tho that’s more of a fault of the producers than the announcers.
It was constant blathering about anything and everything. He was driving me crazy. Makes Dykes look a lot better for sure. We don’t need an education, just comments about the game.
I hated it when he went to Auburn. I thought for sure he would go to UK.

This was a boring ass game, in which UK was just going through the motions and, despite winning the game comfortably, routinely got cooked on defense by a bunch of 2-star guards as per usual, was a step slow to every loose ball, and forced a bunch of ugly shots instead of passing to the open man. You can’t blame Fishback for piss poor commentary. It was a piss poor game. The last game he did was UNCW and that one sucked too.
We scored 96 and looked solid overall to me. I guess you like rock fights but have a feeling u will bitch about those too.

The worst one I can remember was the Notre Dame game where Dick Vitale interviewed the ND football player with the fake girlfriend. Seems like it lasted the entire half ! You would have thought the guy was Jesus!
Crazy thing is, it almost won him the Heisman. Can you imagine the egg that woulda been on everyone’s faces at that point? Would’ve tainted the award forever.

Saying he's a so-so announcer is being very very generous. Dude tries to fit in a cliché phrase every play like he's a shitty DJ trying to impress the crowd. Dude tries way too hard to impress.
He was a really good player for them too. We had owned auburn historically about as bad as any team in the league and i think he actually took a few games from us

Fun fact. He and JP Blevins had several battles in the 4th region. Not many times 2 players come from the fourth to major sec teams.
Sure does. They had some damn good teams during his heyday, in the late 90s. Won the league in 1999, IIRC.

On the Rupps Rafters to real world scale, getting called a so so announcer is the equivalent to being called pretty damn good.
He's fine. I don't understand why people pay so much attention to the announcers and then get worked up over them. I barely notice them.
I would have felt I wasted every penny going to a game like that. Just awful. Clearly we were far more talented, but this was a poor coaching / planning effort.
