First Take

Cal is soft has worried more about helping kids then winning basketball games his job
I think he would like to win but has lost a few steps and just can’t get it done. Plus helping kids is nice to say when you are winning now that he has lost his mojo it sounds like he doesn’t care. Plus there is a difference between wanting to win and needing it. Pitino in 1990 HAD to win and he was a madman in a good way. We need a coach who is obsessed with winning. Shouldn’t be a big ask.

This. JVC cares about himself above all. When the generational talent dried up he moved the goalposts and re-invented himself as Father Flanagan. Some people ate it up.

Both Seth Greenberg and Stephan A are personal friends of CAL Stephen covered him all the way back at UMASS and also very close friends with Flint. Both said he has became soft and got to wrapped up in being the ambassador and Father figure and has stopped having that fire to win at all costs. Both said he could get it back but have my doubts. There was another segment going to cover whether they thought he should move on or hang it up but fell asleep

If the worst season in school history wasn’t enough to light a fire under his ass why would this be any different?
