The player opposing Goodwin is 6’ 5.5”, 260/280 pound, Consensus Top 150 player, DE commit to Iowa, Aaron Graves.
Someones size is not right between those two. Goodwin is either 6-9.5 375 or the other guy is 6-3 240.
All liked the one xtra push at the end of the drill... showed a little dog in him.
You may be on to something. JK but he is so much bigger than all these 6-5/6 300 lb men it is crazy. They list Evan Neal at 6-7 350. His way bigger than him
We saw him next to Walker who is listed as 6-7 350 and Walker looked much smaller. The Hack might be on to something here. But I like how he could bend down low on that video. A guy that size showing that kind of flexibility. Can see why he might be ready now. At the least looks like might be ready for RT. That LT spot is really bothering me if Rosenthal doesn't come back. We have kind of taken it for granted for the last several years because of having a guy like Landon Young that almost never gave up a sack or pressure. For offense to keep rolling next year those two tackle positions have to be high quality.
Landon was very consistently good and dependable
Yeah, when you have a guy or two out you can look back and appreciate the job that has been done there for several years now. That can be gone in a second if can't find the right guy and that right guy is harder to find than a lot of people think.

Sure there will be growing pains but that kid looks the part and will be just fine out there!
He will be better than the options we had in the bowl game.
Before the bowl game, I did not think Goodwin would start if the LT position was open. Now I do. No matter who we slid out there, they struggled mightily.
Let's just hope dare comes back and gives Goodwin a year because I think he needs it
Goodwin probably is just gonna have to use the month of September to adjust to the speed of blocking in CFB. 3 of 4 easy home OOC. Week 2 in Gainesville have to give him sliding & chipping help.
IMO Dare is gone no matter the grade he gets. Another 1 & done.

I'm pretty sure we can find a good tackle in the portal if need be.
This. I was concerned after the Iowa game with how poorly the backups at LT played, but after watching this video, I am super confident that LT is covered and smothered for the next 3 years.
This dude is awesome. No wonder Mel Tucker tried to give him the farm to come to MSU.
The Big Dog should get ANOTHER raise for getting on this kid early and being able to hang on to him late when we usually lose these type recruits to the Bama and Ohio States.
He should certainly shore up the LG position, even if he doesn't start. Glad he is ours.
He committed to Iowa on 6/25/19, as a HS sophomore. It is poorly presented by the service linked.
While a consensus AA, and Top 150 player, he had only one offer, to his home Hawkeyes: he must have accepted on the spot (as a HS soph) and shut down recruiting!!

My thought is Goodwin will only be here 3 years. Net, need to play him ASAP & thus get all we can from him. By October, you think we'll have two other OT's better than him? I'm thinking Jedrick Wills quality.
Him coming early is HUGE. If he were a fall arrival id strongly doubt he starts day 1. Hopefully he can adapt to a the big jump from SE Indiana HS fb to SEC in the spring.
I agree with the Indiana HS comment. I am in noway saying he is ready, but at aspirations he trained with JJ and the kid at Stanford from Trinity. I'm sure others also. His coach said he held his on with those two which are alot better than the kids he played on HS
