Listening to radio today people were quick to point out and blame alcohol sales at the game as the reason. I’m an old man and with my grandfather I started attending games since 1968. I’m still attending games and I can tell you sales inside stadium has little to nothing to do with these fights. It’s the start time for the games that imo is the main reason. I’ve seen several altercations and the vast majority of them happen during the late game times. The all day tailgating crowd is the problem. They enter the game lit before kickoff ? I had a altercation 3 years ago when a drunk decided to pick on me because he thought I was sitting in a handicap area which I wasn’t but non the less he started tapping me on shoulders and asking me how I got my tickets and what was my handicap? I explained to him I wasn’t sitting in those seats but it was non of his business. He became belligerent because he was so drunk. His wife tried to pull him away but to no avail. Finally a blue coat came over and he left. Thomas the blue coat guy asked me why I didn’t pull up my pant legs to show him my prosthetic legs. I told him I wasn’t going to stoop to his level and he had no right. The late games are the main reason for the drunks.
