on central Michigan/western Michigan game has female white hat. In the pouring rain.

Can't say I'm not disappointed when they do throw a flag tonight :)

Ever seen a female white hat a division one game? As an official I find it very cool to see some diversity in the game. Doesn't hurt she looks nice also

I don't know how to upload a pic. Her name is Amanda Sauer. She done a good job on a rivalery game, in terrible conditions. They said on telecast that it rained over an inch during ballgame.

On a side note I bet there wasn't 75 people in stands. But guessing a announced crowd of 25k.

Bound to happen sooner or later, I have seen them on TV in college before but not as the referee. The big step up from a position official to the one in charge is primarily knowledge, I would say, and there are some very smart women.

We had a woman in our high school association over 30 years ago, but she wasn't that good, slow for one thing. But with eight or nine officials in college running fast isn't nearly as important-------you have your segment and things to watch, ever notice the referee still glued to the QB while all the action is somewhere else, or the umpire watching the line play when the RB is about to run over him?

I didn't watch the game but I would say she has to be very good to be a trailblazer.

I'd like to opine that in today's climate of "divertsity" in college's, that's at best a fifty/fifty statement. Let's hope she's better than some of the ref's we get assigned.

Don't mind women broadcasters, refs, etc....as long as they don't try to sound like men. That Beth lady on espn either naturally has or tries to have a male quality to her voice.

I'd prefer something like a wispy, sultry "Oooh baby, that was a niiiice move". That would make me want to turn the sound up and the picture down.

Reminds me of a conversation I had with an insurance representative from Ohio . . . . "Ya' know, I was in Lexington, just last week, and those people are not stupid, ya' know." Given that I was in a small town 35 miles South of Lexington, I suppose this was intended as a compliment.
