Tons of choices out there but both of my answers come from the 2007 season.

Best win- #1 LSU- Getting that type of win was unheard of. Just pure insanity. You kept waiting for Seiber to shank a kick or us to turn it over and blow it but it never happened. Hands down the most 'goosebumps' type victory for me.

Hardest loss- To Tennessee in 2007. Still angry with how conservative Brooks was. Who kicks a field goal at the one yard line when you can punch it in for the win? Still hurts.

You literally took the words out of my mouth. LSU was such a fun win. The South Carolina win this year was close in terms of atmosphere, but LSU is one of those games I'll never forget. As for the loss side that Tennessee loss (2007) that year after we had an interception on the first possession in OT and missed a FG was a tough, tough loss. Not to mention how cold it was for that game and the fact it was the longest game ever. That loss or the LSU, "Bluegrass Miracle" loss.

Sounds like I might be an older guy...but how could you not include the early 90's loss to fla/Superior at cws with Chris Doering snatching victory right from our hands? Mumme's fourth season loss to ul? One from the history books...Fran Curci's loss to Tulane at Tulane when the ref calls what apparently he saw as an "attempted" pass interference by a Ky defender resulting in a loss.... or...John Pierce missing a field goal on the last play vs tennessee maybe during the 72-73 season.

As for this year's USC game...big no doubt, but I don't think the magnitude of that game, nor the crowd at that game was the equal of the lsu game or even some of the ul games, especially the 07 game.

The pain of being a Ky Football fan spans decades and generations.

Best win 2007 vs #1 LSU
Hardest loss...Too many to list since I have been following UK Football for 60 years!!!

Best win was beating #1 LSU. Hardest loss was the 1993 loss to Florida. Chris Doering has become football's Laettner for UK fans.

Win over Bama in 1997 was absolutely amazing, and yes I know they sucked that year, but considering it is our only win in 90 years against them, it still was memorable.

Honestly, beating Clemson's ass in the MCB in 2006, as a big underdog, after so many losing seasons and given how we had not won a bowl game in over 20 years, was really special to me.

Loss to Florida in 1993, loss to Alabama in 1988, and lightning game loss to Louisville, that pretty much was the beginning of the end for Mumme.

Bluegrass Miracle loss was just ridiculous, but somehow, I don't count it in the really crushing ones, more just like a really unlucky break.

The 2003 Florida loss is a top candidate for me. How do you blow a 21-3 4th quarter lead? Only with Kentucky football, I suppose. I remember being at that game and watching Lorenzen throw it right before he got sacked only to be picked off and take it back to the goal line. Dumbest play ever. Take the sack, tubby.

When we went for the tying field goal, I knew it didn't stand a chance of going in and just turned my back to it.

Best win in person was Georgia at home in 2006, it was fun to get out on the field and run around after the win, and got a bear hug from DeMoreo Ford.

Hardest loss was the Bluegrass Miracle game vs LSU in 2002. Devery Henderson was running towards the end zone we were sitting in. Ugh! To top things off, my parents house was destroyed by a tornado that night. My brother (hoss6901) and I were there and we were all asleep when it happened!

keeping it to games i've attended:

wins:

1. lsu 2007 - no explanation needed
2. auburn 2009 - so awesome walking out of their stadium with a win
3. louisville 2007 - stevie got loose!
4. clemson 2006 - similar feeling to the auburn game above, great way to cap off a nice turnaround season

losses:

1. tennessee 2007 - losing to the vols in the last home game for so many guys who turned the program around
2. tennessee 2009 - randall cobb's best chance to beat the vols, serious sec east ramifications
3. florida 2003 - only close game against florida i can really remember witnessing in person (vaguely remember the '93 game)
4. lsu 2002 - bluegrass miracle, literally felt numb. think we were all in total shock on the 1.5 hour drive home

I'm with you Blue Tick.....I was sitting in that endzone and can recall Higgs trying to go over the ut line.....

The day of the Bluegrass Miracle was one to remember, that is for sure!

My favorite win was the 2007 LSU victory. So awesome.

On biggest win, I am torn between 2007 LSU and 1997 Bama. I have never heard the stadium as loud as the bama game (from beginning to end). It was electric. Some of our stale cheers like "Blue / White" were deafening that night. On the other hand, I have never been to a UK football game with more of a "big time game" feel than 2007 LSU. Both teams were really good. LSU was better overall, but we hung around and we were the better team that day. Will never forget Braxton Miller (I think it was him) stopping their back short on 4th and 2.

There are many many candidates for worst loss. I'll define worst as "most painful". In that sense, I think it would be 2007 UT (we still had the horrid streak going on that time) or The Bluegrass Miracle or 93 Florida. I think 2007 UT is the worst. WOuld have been a monumental win, and I really felt like it was going to happen that day.

Arkansas 1998. Should have won easy, Yeast cramps up, which was bad, Jason Watts gets concussed, and that is what cost us the game. His replacement at center was abused and that is how they won. Was visiting family in Virginia and was just killed by it. Would have made a decent season much better. That one hung around for a while with me.

Win: LSU 2007. I sat literally in the LSU section (114), and trust me, there was no better seat in the house that night. It is true that CWS literally shook beneath your feet at the end of that game. My buddy and I could not communicate even yelling at one another in the final minutes of that game. Awesome environment... like playing a football game at the end of a Fed Ex hub runway.

Loss: LSU 2002. Ironic, isn't it. However, perhaps it just goes to fully illustrate that highs and lows come and go. People spend too much time dwelling on the failings of our football program, when the truth is that it has seen its moments for pride and excitement as well. I admit, however, that our football karma is not really in balance.

The Alabama win because it had been so long.
The UF loss when Doering caught the TD pass with seconds left after we led the whole game.

2007 LSU for the Win. To beat the best team in the nation, and the eventual national champions was very cool. I got so many text, phone calls and FB comments from friends/people I knew about that game. I was working during the game, so had to get updates at work...have seen the game many times on replay. I'm still mad I missed it live, but a job is a job.
2014 FL for the loss. That loss just sucked this past season...we had the game. We have said that about a lot of games, but it ended up costing us a bowl this year, and a 6-0 start would have offset the horrendous 0-6 finish to get us to a bowl game at least.

Lot of games already listed in the last 20-30 years and loved all of em,

But here are a few others there were huge games back a few years ago.

3 Mississippi games:

Beating #1 Mississippi in Oxford MS 1964. Norton and company as juniors

Beating #1 Mississippi in Lexington 1965. Larry Sieple faked a punt and ran for 84 yards in the last minute to beat Ole Miss.

Beating #1 Mississippi in Lexington 1969 Beating Archie Manning on a rainy Saturday night at Stoll Field. John Rays first season and the night he made the famous statement "We are on our way" Fired the next season.

Beating PSU in Happy Valley in 1975. At the time was one of about 10 losses ever suffered by PSU at Happy Valley. Cawood was on fire that day.

Beating PSU in CWS in 1976 with Art Still and company.

Love all the other victories listed but these were huge games in their day.
