Robert De Niro and Martin Scorcese have made ten films together over 51 years (as a well as a short film, Audition). Goodfellas is easily my favorite, followed by Casino and Raging Bull, but I really like every film they've made together except for The Irishman (I couldn't finish it...I made it maybe an hour in) and New York, New York or Killers of the Flower Moon (neither of which I've seen).

Anyway, what are some of your favorite actor/director teams?

Mean Streets. And it's not close. The characters and situations seem observed and remembered rather than simply imagined or drawn from a book.

Goodfellas is better than the Godfather. There, I said it.
The Godfather is good but it's hard to top Goodfellas. I love mob movies and it's just better IMO. My age probably has something to do with that. I saw The Godfather in my early teens after it had been out a long time. Saw Goodfellas in the theater. I've probably seen that movie 50 times and it never gets old.
