Just had a very long discussion with JUCO offensive tackle Tate Leavitt who visited Kentucky on Sunday and his tone and comments absolutely could not be any better for the Wildcats given his remaining plans.
He will unofficially visit Illinois and WVU next week and will take an official visit to Alabama shortly thereafter, but he's also going to be releasing a list in the near future, after those first two trips, and will aggressively move towards making a decision.
He told me Kentucky was definitely one of the best visits he's had and I think he kind of caught himself, trying to avoid saying any more in that regard. At one point it was Leavitt, his younger brother, his dad, grandfather, Mark Stoops, Vince Marrow and John Schlarman all in the room for an hour and he said it could not have gone any better. To top it off he's been texting back and forth with Courtney Love, getting the perspective of a player that just transferred to Kentucky -- obviously an experience he may soon be able to relate to.
On top of that, he was absolutely sold that the coaches believe he can be the guy to come in and win a starting offensive tackle spot.
I think if the choice were today it would be Kentucky. That includes Alabama. We will see how the Alabama official goes.
