Even if you're not a Yankees/Baseball fan, you need to root for Aaron Judge on Friday

Why you ask? If you watched last week's Clemson/Wake Forest game on ESPN, you might have noticed there was a football game getting in the way of Aaron Judge's broadcast. Every time he was at-bat, ESPN put the CFB game in the corner and switched audio to the Yankees game. This Saturday, the Yankees will be starting about an hour after the UK game starts. We need to hope Judge hits the record on Friday so ESPN doesn't cut away from our game.

In preparation for this, I've already set a plan to sync Tom Leach Radio coverage with my TV so I don't have to deal with that bullshit, but thought I'd let y'all aware.

Ok Ill do it!
They may still show his abs though because he is contending for the triple crown as well!

I'm rooting for Judge gets stuck in his hotel room or elevator and misses the game altogether. He's wearing a yankees uni. Might as well be wearing pushup or prison orange.

I'll be listening to Tom Leach NOT talk about baseball during a football broadcast

The Roid era was fun to watch even though it made a mockery out of the home run records. I have a ton of respect for what Judge has done. Especially since he's 19 home runs ahead of second place in all of MLB. Pretty impressive!
Obviously there's no denying his season has been great. But if I wanted to watch baseball, I would watch baseball. Last week they cut away at important times from the Clemson game, one of those times being a 2 point conversion to tie the game. Judge struck out that at bat and we missed the coverage of Clemson tying the game in overtime. Just think it's ridiculous imo

Out of curiosity - how have you been doing this? Haven't done it before myself and I think I'll be fine, but I'm worried the radio broadcast will be further ahead of the TV broadcast
I get the radio feed off ihart apt on my cell phone. It is always behind the TV feed so I pause the TV feed which is off a satellite dish until the radio catches up. Don't remember a case where it happens that the iheart is ahead of the TV feed. The radio feed directly over the air might be because it does not have to be processed to go to a cell tower. I think they make a radio that can be synced.

I'll probably pull it up on my streaming channels, they don't get interruptions. We were trying to watch the Texas game and it kept going to split screens, I was like "why TF are they doing this and who is this guy?"

I’d like a show of hands 🙋🏻‍♂️for anybody on here who might be tuning in to watch a college football game so they can watch Aaron Judge bat during a baseball game. The game is on TV already. Anybody that wants to watch it woukd have their chance. Thus this is why they created PIP in your TV should you desire to use that option. I long ago quit watching MLB. It consist of 4-6 large market teams that use the other 30 teams or so as minor league feeder teams. It’s as interesting as watching hamsters fornicate. An in game poll as to how many viewers give a rats ass about baseball wouldn’t garner 20% support. They know this, they are doing it in spite of knowing. This mfer could hit 3 home runs Friday night, they’d still interrupt the game Saturday. I’ll make sure to schedule my trips for #1 and #2 around these at bats.

This situation is literally why ESPN created a channel like ESPN news for, nobody involved with Kentucky and ole miss or even a football fan cares about Aaron judge

I’ve kept up with his career. There’s not a more decent human being in all of sports. The world could use a lot more role models like this guy. I LOVE UK sports and I can’t wait for the Ol’ Miss game Saturday but I don’t think any Aaron Judge airtime is going to mess it up. I’m guessing a lot of people care about the man.

I hate MLB but will be rooting for Judge to hit at least two home runs Friday. lol

Yankees fans might, ESPN is a billion dollar industry they can figure out other ways to show it, a top 15 matchup is not the time

So last week we miss a quarter, and this week we miss anytime they see fit to squeeze a baseball abat in. Thanks ESPN now shove ur head in yals ass alittle further.

Agreed! Surely the Yankees game will have its own broadcast. If people want to see Judge, they can change the channel to it. I love UK football, I’m slightly interested in what Aaron Judge is doing. Why are we going to interrupt a game that everyone watching “really” cares about for something that only a small fraction those same people care about even a tiny bit? ESPN continues with its lack of awareness!

About to come up now during Houston game

Showing on a split screen with football audio muted.
Struck out.

That’s because ESPN is run by a bunch of woke Yankees from Connecticut.
