I usually go to vandy every year. Their fans absolutely hate us, especially the older ones. I was at the vandy/UK game in 2008. Sat next to a older vandy fan and had to listen to "how the game has changed" and how "UK and Notre Dame can't run the show anymore" ya know, that word that's thrown around every time UK is down for a period of time, "parity".

I remember the head scratcher when Martin left kstate. He is a crazy eyes mad man but his players give him their best. He also is very complimentary of UK and our history and Calipari. With so many coaches to hate in SEC Martin is not one.

I'm not. He started from scratch. Not everyone can fill a team like Cal can year in and year out. Old coach from Iowa state was good at it to with transfers and grad students

My step dad went duck and goose hunting back in the day with Roy skinner. The main story I heard was Roy could drink a 5th ( he called it a quart) of bourbon before they left the blind My step dad says you wouldn't know he had a drop. He drank it like sun drop

Vandy is very average IMO. They have good pieces, but also haven't proven themselves to be better than average on the court.

Yeah ,he could do his coaches show on Nashville T.V. and be 1/2 lit as well. The host had to cover for him some of the time. It was almost funny at times.

Once they showed highlights of the game with UK but due to 'technical difficulties' could only show the end of the floor where Vandy was on offense, Vandy was scoring most of the time and they make a comment Kentucky is scoring just about every time down the floor. The Cats had won the game going away.

Yeah, they may get in, but will be squarely on the bubble. A terrible loss at Ark and a loss today to a team they are more talented than in SC...both with their "savior" Kornet back. They probably would not have won any of the games they lost with him, but Vandy fans love to make stuff up.

Good catch...........I think, and I could be off a tad, but when Martin started at SC, he was down to 7 scholarship players. Horn left him a bare cupboard and several players left when Horn was let go. Martin started with basically a few bodies. He's built a foundation.

The question is if the SEC can stay consistent. Too many times I've seen teams crash after a great year.
