ESPN Top 25 CBB Players for 2017 Season

That list is the most bias garbage I have ever seen. Duval is so overrated . UK has 5 freshmen better than him IMO. Gracie is a cancer and should not be anywhere on a list like that. Vanderbilt , Knox and Diallo all are top 25 players in college IMO . I would put a healthy JV in the top 12 or so . Diallo around 20 and Knox around 23 or so. That list is just garbage .

Duval is way overrated. It has been discussed before but it is pretty clear that Sexton has passed him and this guy didn't even rank Sexton. Just ridiculous to rank him that high.

All of these "experts" and "analysts" had already crowned duke the champion last year. Having Allen as the #1 player is laughable. They always hype up the big phony's players because they are under his spell. There's a reason Allen came back, nobody in the NBA wanted him.
Let them hype them up. They always do and it's not even surprising anymore. Cal is the best at what he does, and got most of the players he wanted. I will go with that.
If Knox had went to duke, I guarantee you he would be on this list.

If Allen is the best play in college today then college basketball has hit an all time low. In my opinion there are many players around today better than him. Several on Duke's team are better.

There is no doubt about it, if Knox went to Duke they would be preseason 1 and on his jock.

I would even argue he was raised to a top 10 HS player in updated rankings before he chose, because they thought he'd choose Duke.

If anyone needed assurance that espn knows nothing about college basketball, here's a good start.

1. Rated Wall the 5th player in 09 class

2. Fired Andy Katz, retained Gerbil mouth.

3. Basically Named Gracie the pre season player of the year.

Yea, time to stop taking them seriously if you haven't already.

UL is not a top 7 team with that frontcourt. More like 15-20.

I'm glad they retained Marble Mouth....if he was out a job, well then my screen name would be kind of obsolete

I know I'm biased, but I feel like Yante Maten could start for just about every team in the country. I guess since he's only 6'8" at the 4 spot he's going to continue to get overlooked.
He is very good and I agree. I think he will be a good product in the NBA.
What kind of class did Fox bring in this year?

It was alright. We got beat up by Alabama and Auburn pretty good in state which is frustrating. Fox is a subpar recruiter and doesn't recruit the state very well. We're all tired of him. We brought four guys in, all with pretty good length.

Teshaun Hightower is a kid originally out of Georgia that played a year of prep ball in Maryland at Mt. Zion. Had some grade issues for a while, but when he got that sorted out, started receiving some interest and basically came down to us and WKU. He's about 6'4 and will play the point. Looks to be a little more skilled Charles Mann.

Rayshaun Hammonds was the most highly touted kid we brought in this year. Top 50 player nationally according to most. He's a guy out of Norcross, GA. He's about 6'8" and will likely play the 3 spot for us. Second most highly touted recruit Fox has landed behind KCP. We expect pretty good things from him.

Isaac Kante is a guy out of Putnam Science where Diallo played. He's about 6'8" 230 and will strictly be a front court player. I haven't seen much on him, but supposedly his game is a mixture of Maten and Ogbeide. He was getting Big East attention outside of us.

Nicolas Claxton is the son of former Dawg Charles Claxton who some of you may remember. He's a pretty long, but skinny kid, probably 6'10 200 pounds. He had a late growth spurt and still handles the ball like a guard. He'll need to really hit the weights hard, but we landed him over Baylor and FSU. Believe he was a top 150 guy.

Only 1 UK player in top 25. Diallo at 21. lol at Gracie #1

Considering Dook has the #1, #10, and #14 players, per ESPN, anything short of a championship should be considered a failure on K's part, no?

Lord, what a horrid list of the Top-25 players in NCAA.

Oh well, the NCAA might as well go ahead an award PUKE the championship for this upcoming year with 3-players in the ESPN pre-season top 14 in the country.

Just like this past year when PUKE had the #1, #2 and #11 in this pre-season "FAUX" poll and Coach K rode it to a Second Round NCAA exit and a 28-9 record!
