man, just watching those highlights with Fox, Monk, SGA, awesome game.
I was coming here to post the same thing. If you throw in Monk they had 102 points combined.
Fox, Monk , and Bam lost to the most one sided ref bullshit anyone has ever seen in college basketball.
It was comically bad. As if he didn’t care if he got caught. They would’ve won easily. Only UnC could match up to them and they needed a miracle game by a scrub and unreal bad calls (8-10 minimum ) to win.
That same Ref screwed us over in the 2011 Final 4 against U Conn also.
That NC game with Fox/Monk came down to that big white dude hitting a game winning shot. SGA had a bad game when we got tossed out that year. Sometimes the players themselves win and lose games for ya.
Jesus dude….they were 18 year old KIDS when they were here. SGA came in as a player we considered to be somewhat of a step down from previous guards and he grew leaps and bounds under Cal in one season.
Would you prefer that these kids go to KU, Duke, UNC??? Would it feel good hearing the announcer say that is where they went as they shake hands?
Cal isn’t perfect, but he brings in amazing talent and they are good kids that represent our program great while they are here AND for years after. Yeah, we haven’t gonr as far in the tournament as we all would like to, but that is March and shit happens. The best teams, the best talents, the best coaches don’t always win. All it takes is one off night, one career night by the opposition, or one injury and it’s done.
