I've watched Kentucky play basketball for 50 seasons, and part of this one. In all of those, we've had our share of statement games, but rarely one so convincing as today's win at South Carolina. This was no "plain-vanilla", run-of-the-mill regular season road win--this was a mid-season test that we had to pass, and they did it with one of the great performances of the Calipari era (too bad he didn't see it from the bench!).
I am so proud of the hard work and obvious dedication this team has done to get to this point. It has not been an easy road. Tough games and more tests remain. Let's hope their current amazingly good play continues and takes us to what is now more of a realistic goal than ever: winning this year's NCAA Championship.
