Elephant in the room!

You go back to the UNC debacle and most people thought they would get the book thrown at them because it was one of the most egregious scandals in the history of the game by one of the top programs. It lasted for years and involved everybody from the waterboy to the school president. There was more than enough evidence to try and hang those b@$t@rds. However, nothing came of it. Possibly the biggest scandal in college sports history just waiting for some investigator to make a name for himself and not a thing. There has to be something more than just love of the school. People had to have a financial stake in that cover up. Hopefully, we find out.

I wouldn't be shocked to hear the shoe companies paid off refs. If the companies are willing to buy players in return for future contracts, is it past them to buy off refs to get a chosen team/player to advance in tourney?

The NCAA seemed to know nothing about what happened yesterday and today.I am sure they(NCAA) are wondering what it means for them and if they could be a target or of interest to the FBI.

At best I think this reflects poorly on the NCAA,it leaves them in a lurch waiting for the legal system to run it's course or jumping the gun as they did in the Penn State matter.

Notwithstanding the developments of the past 48 hours the NCAA has UL and UNC issues to deal with, logic would seem to dictate that they move to resolve those matter as quickly as possible and have as little on their plate as they can in order to manage this situation as it unfolds.

I would have to think UL will quickly drop their appeal and take anything the NCAA gives them for the new scandal. They have no legs to stand on and just hope to avoid the death penalty.

Maybe the next step is taking computers from NCAA offices in Indy. Although you'd think those files were deleted yesterday.
Hope so. FBI forensics are just a tad better than the incompetence NCAA. That'd be quite a bit of time upstate for the idiot who attempts it. Like I said, hope so.

Yeah I think deleting your browser history and emptying the Gmail trash probably isn't going to cut it.
