Never have watched a game on the Alternate channel before. Is it broadcast in HD?

It says it is on my directv schedule. Still not convinced that it will be. According to the guide this game will be the only thing shown on that channel the entire week.

All the games I've watched on via DirectTV have been in HD.

Anybody know what ALT channel it's on for Dish Network? I want to record it to watch on Sunday. I will be there on Saturday

The game will be shown again, Monday, 10/5 at 6:30 A.M. on the SEC network and again
at 11:00 P.M.

The Vandy game last week or the week before against a mid major type team was on that channel on Time Warner and it was in SD. So don't get your hopes up on picture quality.

I'm still trying to figure out why we went to wide screen tvs and they still block the top and bottom. I swear I think we could have tvs 2' tall and 5' wide and they'd still chop off 4 inches on the top and bottom.

I hate that as well. I always have to change the screen mode to get rid of the black bars. You end up losing probably over a quarter of the picture by doing that. They just need to film everything in the same format and build all tv's to that size. I like 16:9, but 21:9 could be cool for sports. You could see more of the field or court with it.
