I do not recall Wake making 9/17 from three, but I do recall Wake shooting 2/13 from three and still having a chance with about 3 minutes to go.Originally posted by UKWildcats#8:
Yeah, it was on the road, they won by 8, were up 10 the last 2 minutes pretty much, and I do not recall Wake having a chance to win it at the buzzer in a tie game or taking the game to OT and having the lead a lot of the OT.
We will no doubt have some SEC road games similar to this one in final margin and being tough...does not mean we survived a scare necessarily. Now last night...we survived a scare.
I just simply said that I doubt that would be the headline for the ESPN article recap on the game, nothing more.Originally posted by Son_Of_Saul:

Obviously Ole Miss gave Kentucky a bigger scare; but Duke is indeed human. The contrarian view that they're somehow above reproach is curious.
Fair enough. I agree.Originally posted by UKWildcats#8:

Duke is beyond human....this is not news. They have one guy down low and nothing else; they live by the 3 and die by the 3. None of this is news.
I just roll my eyes at some of our fans getting their panties in a wad trying to draw comparisons and whining because a headline might not make Duke's win look as "scary" tomorrow. I am pretty confident that ESPN will at least mention they had a tough contest and it was close until 3-4 minutes to go.
I will definitely say our game was much more better played by both teams. This game tonight (I admit not on that I could find), it appears both teams did not play that well, and it was not well played. Okafor appears to have been human tonight by the boxscore.Originally posted by Son_Of_Saul:

Sorry but that was NOT in reference to Duke beating Wake. It was in reference to the ACC top teams winning. Even the picture had Duke and Virginia players. As for Duke, the headlines are more along the line of "Duke Avoids Upset."Originally posted by Rhavicc:

Leave it to ESPN. It takes a world-beater to leave Wake's arena alive.
I'm sure that Wake at home is just as good as Ole Miss on the road.Originally posted by KDcats11:
Ole Miss is a far superior team to Wake Forest.
