About midway of the second half the Cats showed that a little then they changed back. It was a thing of beauty the few times they tried it. I think that is coming a lot more later but not soon. Maybe the second half of the season... Oh, 69.2 on FT's today...
This is what we all thought would be the strength of this team this year is the Dribble Drive going with a 3-guard lineup. When you have POY and Lee underneath and the 3 guards that opens up 18-20 ft jumpers and 3-point jumpers and when hitting those that gets our guards in the lane for nices dishes for dunks. This is where I would think Skal Labissiere would be able to score 14-16 points a game if the Dribble Drive is working good. We have to remember last 2 or 3 games that Skal had bad games we have runned the Dribble Drive to perfection like we have in the 2nd half tonight. That is where Marcus Lee gets most of his points. If we are running the Dribble Drive successfully and we are knocking down our Jumpshots and our 3 point shots that opens up underneath for Skal to get easy layups and easy dunks. Tonight like last game Skal was in so much foul trouble early tonight and last game that it completely takes him out of his game. We just have to be patient with Skal and he will come back scoring his double-doubles. We just have to execute the dribble drive and our outside shots and 3 point shots failling and that will eventually help Skal underneath.
When teams don't clog the lane, our guards are gonna be able to do what Briscoe and Murray did today. Either get to the rim, or dump it off to Lee, Alex, and hopefully Skal.
